I just bought something not st up with a runtime folder and I want to make sure I put each part in the right place to be able to use it in Daz. The product page didn't mention Daz, but did say it was Poser friendly.

As they are OBJs  and not props  you wouldn't need to put them into a runtime.  You have to import OBJs.

Well that sucks. I can't just put them in my runtime so I can see them and load them in DAZ?

Once you have imported each of the obj files (File > Import) and made any necessary changes, you can save it back out into a mapped DAZ Studio native content folder as a .duf scene subset so you don't have to do the import every time.

Note that during import there are several options that affect things like the scale you want to import it at, orientation, etc., and there are a few presets for other applications that may or may not be useful, you might just need to select custom and experiment with the scale by trying a few times.  I find it helpful to put an object of known size in the scene right before importing (like V3 or G1 or someting).  Depending on where you imported it from, you might need to fiddle around with varioud material settings.  Opacity(transparency) might be backwards, the bump or displacement might not be set appropriately, etc.

You can put them in a folder, and list that in Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager under Other Formats and they should show up in the Content Library I think.   There are no icons with them, so you will just get a grey generic icon, but you should be able to see them.   I don't know if it will load the MTL file as well, you may need to apply the texture yourself.   Poser does not use MTL files as far as I know, it needs a CR2 or PP2 file to load the OBJ with textures.
