Face Transfer 2 Error
in The Commons
Just started getting the attached error message when using Face Transfer 2. Prior to this is worked perfectly. I tried using it with a Genesis 9 figure and Victoria 9 as well as different pictures. I get the same error message twice, click ok, and the face loads in.
I did install a Daz update for the Genesis starter pack prior to this so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it. Anyone else having this problem?

How did you instal the Genesis 9 Starter essentials? I just tried and received no error in generating or saving the face.
I used DIM
I am encountering the same error and also installed Genesis 9 starter essentials through DIM
I used Connect (installed through Daz Studio) and just had it isntall the update, rather than reinstalling the whole product - that may be the difference.
Might have something to do with missing textures?

I am glad I am not the only one that encountered this error. When I experienced this error, the skin texture of the figure based on FT2 is very very very dark.
I noticed that there is an update to G9 essentials dated 13 March 2024, when I checked DIM earlier today. After DIM has finished installing the update, I still encounter the same error. I have already submitted a help ticket.
I think it definitely has something to do with the new update for the starter essentials pack. Face Transfer was working flawlessly prior to doing the update.
There is a fresh update which says it fixes this issue.
Okay thanks :-)
Thanks!
Dear Richard,
Thank you for the information. I noticed that the last update through DIM is dated 13 March 2024. However, I still experience the same error.
Same here
Sorry, I was getting my threads muddled - the fix is for the missing eye textures.
The missing Face Transfer issue is apprantly in the process of being fixed.
There is a sample script showing how to use alternative textures here http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/specific_ui/appsettings_facetransfer/start
I noticed that there is an Update for G9 essentials when I check on DIM. After appling the updates, I no longer experience the error message.
