Ok..I give!
How do we search the forums using the new layout? I tried typing stuff into the search box, but it took me to products. I looked under the little gears and didn't see anything helpful.
I would have tried searching for the answer myself in case this question was already answered somewhere in the forums, but...
(do I really have to explain?)

As of right now...we don't.
You can do a Google site search and manually substitue 'discussion' for 'viewthread' in the URL, but that's about as close as it gets, right now.
we can't. yet. i think that's supposed to be added back at some point.
whatever site:daz3d.com/forums/
change viewthread to discussion in url
This seems to work for searching: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/search
bookmarked thanks
Surely this should be easy for the web designer to fix. It has been a while since I played with HTML but I seem to remember a simple solution was a Meta "refresh" in the page header. This would redirect the "/viewthread/" to "/discussion/".
Having said that, I just did a google site search and manually changed it to "/discussion/" and it didn't work for me. I got a page saying "Discussion Not Found".
I just found a post giving this link, which seems to work reasonably well. I thought there was no way to do it either

that new search results layout is terrible
Has the new Forum no search engine like the old one had?

Thanks Jimmy...
Hi all,
Sorry for the off-topic message, but I can't work out howe to search the forums with this new forum "look". The only search bart that appears anywhere is at the top, and only seems to search the shop. How do I search through the forums?
What I'm looking for (in case the right person reads this) is if anyone has upgraded their PC to Windows 10 from 8.1, and if the upgrade peocess killed Daz or if it kept working fine afterwards? I have a very large library, and I don't relish the idea of having to reinstall Daz, even assuming I could find all the installers after all this time.
Thanks,
Brian.
