This is a test.  This is only a test.  Had this been an actual emergency, the sound you have just heard would have been followed by much panic and screaming.

I wonder how replies work in the new forums...

    I wonder if I have to subscribe to a thread or if posting does it automatically as it did before....

     

    EDITED TO ADD:  I see you can click the little gear icon floating to the right of your post and select "Edit" from the menu to edit it...

    Aha!  Thanks for posting here Mattymanx.  I see I am getting notification of replies without having to subscribe to a thread I created, good.  Looks like you only have to subscribe to threads you haven't posted in yet.

    Just looking at the options myself.  different.  Suppose i should quote myself instead of repeating myself.

    Cool option there for adding quotes.  Like how the picture popups work now too.  Waiting to see what tweaks will be done to the new forum software.

    Mattymanx, well as I just found out... it's doing it again, AGGGGGG!

    I can no longer just copy screen names withou everything after that turning into a link to something. The rught click-copy no longer works, so Spell and gramer checking in other programs is broken. And this random Bold-then-skinny letters in all the posts is hurting my eyes to read, this is not cool.

     keep messing up on the Quote, sometimes I can catch my mistake, but once  I had not, kinda a strange looking post with quotes.

    just contributing to the test,  I didn't study too much ..

    Have I just accidentally changed my settings, or have they completly redesigned the forums? If it was me changing settings, how do I change them back? I don't like the look of this very much.

    Personally I dislike the new forums, there was nothing wrong with the old. Now the thread I needed, which was about the viewport colors is a broken link. I have to wait on Google to get the info I want, unless someone else can help.

     

    But other than the broken links I like what I see :) the new features are nice but it came at a heafty price of messing with google (edit) and my name -.- I mean what's up with that?! where did those numbers come from? how do I change it back? I used to be Insanity of Xade. What gives?

    yes, thank you I just figured that out and was going to edit it. Looks like they managed to almost seamlessly plug the forum into the site. Ok, one complaint out of the way.

     

    How about the search? does it work well enough? *checks* nope, the search only checks the store, not the forums. We need a search funtion to prevent cluttering up forums with new "help me O-forumite-kenobis, you are my only hope!" threads

    OK, Cohole said that in order to add an image to the signature without referencing an external URL, she attached it to an OT post then linked to that attachment.  Clever, I say!  So this attachment of mine is purely for that purpose.

    I don't see that icon the same way... I'm on an iPad at the moment and not sure how to do screen capture... Your icon seems to be in the post field... There is none for me... All I have is the one at the header which lists "Mark forums viewed", "Categories", "Recent discussions", "My drafts"... Etc.

     

     

    Nevermind... I do now... If I turn the iPad to portrait... In landscape, even if zoomed out, it's not there.

     

    That and turning it back and forth royally screws up the page... Don't drop or fumble with your iPad while writing.

    Just my opinion I do not like the new forums so far, and I can't find the link to change my avatar either

    ok avatar found, but not how to put my quote back at the bottom of my posts

    One more thing, I am PC member but doesn't say so under my avatar, do I  have to add that myself?
