Just some basic advice needed....
I'm pretty good with manipulating a static 3D object over time, however I now have a project that requires a bit more in the animation department...
In nutshell, how would one go about animating a dinosaur over the course of 5 - 10 seconds?
Obviously it need to be more than just an static object if one wants the head and legs to move...
Does Daz 3D allow for handling of "rigged" objects? and where can these animated or animate able items be found?
Thanks!

Have you looked at the animate2? Or even just the Daz animation time line, you can key frame animations there. aniMate2 lite is included with Daz and there is a guide on gofigures website. Several animating in daz tutorial videos on YouTube as well.
The Daz store stocks several dinosaurs all are rigged.
You can find dinsaurs here:

(They also come as a bundle: http://www.daz3d.com/dinosaur-bundle )
For one of them, there's an animation pack: http://www.daz3d.com/cs-dimetrodon-expansion
