Unfortunately, the MATS for the hair are not working and produce an error message indicating they cannot be loaded...I have reinstalled the hair but still the problem remains...I cannot change the hair color with any mat...Is there a way to contact this vendor...have you heard other complaints of this..? It was a bit pricey...

What does the error message say?
It might be hieracical materials, so you have to have the character selected to aplly them.
