Convert pp2 to Daz format

Hi all,
I have inadvertently bought a prop from rend.ty (Karate Suit 2) for use in Daz Studio, but although I can load it I haven't the option to fit it to a character (M4).
The props are in PP2 format, with MT5 for materials.

Is there any tool or workaround to convert them in a Daz compatible format?

Thanks

The problem here is that this is a dynamic outfit, made to use in Poser's cloth room. Poser dynamic items cannot be used in DS.

DS has it's own dynamic cloth system, which is not compatible with Poser dynamics.

It is possible to convert DS dynamic items to Poser, but I know of no way to do the reverse.

    Thanks for the reply,
I tried to rig the object following this guide http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/creating_content/rigging/tutorials/basics_initial_rig_with_transfer_utility/start

but when I load the transfer utility I can't select M4 as Source Item.

Transfer utility is for TriAx weightmapped figures like Genesis and Genesis 2. M4 is not weightmapped, it uses "classic" poser rigging, so you can't rig items for him with the transfer utility. You need to use the "classic" figure setup tools.

No need to buy anything, the figure setup tools are included in DS. There are multiple tutorials on how to rig for V4, M4 works the same.
Those threads will give you a few pointers:

Why do you want to? A prop, by definition in this context, is an unrigged item.

As an aside, with the addition of dForce it's no longer the case that Poser dynamic clothing cannot be used in DS - some, at least, should be usable with dForce.

Old dynamic clothing plugin (should i finally update from 4.8 to current versions? heard horror stories about messed up content library) only recognizes props (or at least 3rdparty script for poser clothes to be used with daz DC).

  • DS 4.8 is ancient now, I would strongly suggest upgrading to 4.10 (the content library stuff is exaggerated, just follow the advice in the 4.9/4.10 threads to back-up the CMS database as a precaution - which is not needed in most cases). There is no way, under the EULA, to create new dynamic cloth in DS 4.9 or earlier.
