    night furyyyy

excel is making my eye twitch. :bug: :bug: :bug: literally - twitch twitch

learned how to use a worksheet function in vba
    Set MyRange = Worksheets("detail").Range("$A:$A")
    MyCount = Application.WorksheetFunction.CountA(MyRange, MyTarCel)

learned to ReDim for an array.

don't see any pretty way to filter itemlist in a form-listbox. (not the active x one)

with the counta i can see how many i should have in the itemlist,
but how to get the individual items from column2 sheet2
vlookup will bring back one item

trying to do the dashboard thing.

Cake waiting for me at home.
too much to expect it will greet me at the door.
    chocolate butter cream hugz.

It's like when I write.. I am not good enough.

But this time, I love my child! :cheese:

For four months I sold my soul to create something never seen before. And I call it good.

And on the fifth month you rested. You're too hard on yourself, TroutFace.

Maybe.. but it's just me doing this, solo, and without external feedback (although ps1borg has been aa GREAT help ) so it hasn't been as bad. :red:

Yeah, the 20th is going to be serious party day, releasing my first full album AND hitting 56!

Glad you've escaped the twisters this time. Wish we could escape the rains. Every time I think it's quit, it just starts again. The creek between my house and the Y is running fast.

@Dana: Yep, I've got plenty of ventilation so no problem with the stove. If it ever quits raining, we're going to use the grill in the backyard.

Re-learning 3D graphics programming in between running tests and debugging. I can't believe I knew all this stuff at one time! Worse, I can't believe how much I've forgotten! :ahhh:

Technology is very different now. Fortunately the tools and information are all freely available online, so I'm learning a thing called WebGL which is basically a cut-down version of the OpenGL 3D API. It's callable from Javascript, so I get to learn Javascript too. :shut:

So, I've re-located all my gamedev books on Amazon and and making stupid little triangles appear in a Web page. :blank:

Math, math, math.. geesh.. talk about use it or lose it! :bug:

Will definitely need beer tonight. :shut:

JAVA was the my straw that broke the camel's back. Just got tired of learning new languages. No, not tired, burned out. Haven't programmed at all since 2001. I look at the titles in the computer tech section of a bookstore and I don't even know what languages do what. Back in my day (here we go...) young'uns, anything was possible in assembler. True, it would take a lifetime to do the impossible but that which was possible had intrinsic value (rockets to the moon and balanced bankbooks). Now the impossible is normal but value is questionable (Twitter and the ilk). Back in my day every half-brained computer science student would write a new text editor and do a happy dance of unabashed arrogance. Today every half-brained computer science student writes a new language and does a happy dance of unabashed arrogance. Thank god I was never a computer science student.

And there are too damn many languages, I agree. :shut: The ones I've touched are C (30 year coding), C++ (10 years coding), FORTRAN (7 years), C# (3 years), Java (1 year), and Perl (1 year).. used professionally. I've toyed with Lua (fugly syntax), Lisp (kill me now), Javascript (not too sucky), and Ruby (they're kidding, right?). :bug: :gulp:

...I left coding in 1993 after a serious bout of burnout myself.

I also feel the same way concerning all these scripting languages in use today. Elegant "top down" programming is a thing of the past these days, as apparently is documentation.

Was also one of those math guru's in school as I was hoping to get into aeronautical engineering. Yeah, designing jet planes using slide rules and mechanical drafting tools. :cheese:

Used to have fun going to the supermart and asking the cashier not to hit the total key before I gave my estimate (including the cost for weighed items like veggies and any applicable sales tax). Rarely would be off more than a few pennies and this was in the day when one didn't have that handy pocket calculator to cheat with...er...use.

Reminds me I am looking for a free good word processor for my Windows computer..

    https://www.openoffice.org/ <3</p>

https://notepad-plus-plus.org/ As well, though it's more focused for scripting and coding than general typing (Which it can do too, but OpenOffice is more for general typing)

I've toyed around with Ruby a bit, I kind of like it :)
    Of course it's only the second language I've actually dived into to any extent, so...... ^^;

    Missed me by thaaat much.

Just got news that our usual parking spot for breakfast on Friday mornings is now under a pile of bricks. It seems the old three story brick hotel/hardware/misc. store in Randolph, NY that has been an empty eyesore for 50 years and unable to attract a buyer, just gave up the ghost and fell over dead.

...open the "Tools" menu at the top of the window, click "Options" then "Advanced" (the "gear" icon) and Click on the "Network" tab. Under "Cached Web Content" there will be a button labelled 'Clear Now". Click that (will take a few moments to clear).

...kind of like when the Loma Prieta quake happened in '89. Had a friend's uncle not taken off from work early that day to watch the third game of the World Series, he would have been stuck in traffic on lower deck of the Nimitz Freeway when it collapsed.

Another option would be to use CCleaner: https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
It can clean out the cache of your browsers just fine, amongst other things like Temporary Files and so forth.

...ahh, once again no longer in the PC. Forgot that my 3 month membership expired this past weekend and I don't currently have the cash to renew. When I looked at my account page it still shows the 7.95$ monthly renewal as an option even though it no longer exists. Pity, I actually have enough in my bank account to cover that. Guess I'll have to wait until the end of the week. Hopefully I'll be be able to renew before Monday as this week's freebie is a very useful one.

I remember there used to be a short grace period of a couple days. Guess not anymore.

Odd that I'm still getting the newsletter though.

Hello. Busy day for me, and long day. I had to get up pretty early, because of Jury Duty out of town. No cases required juros, though. They all pled out. when I got home, I had something to eat and then I got nostalgic and Googled downtown of my old city, where the court was (the one where Hernandes was on trial all these months). I found lots of old photos, lots. I get lost in things like that and the hours just fly away.

    I'm tired.

...been doing a bit of the same tonight as well. Mostly checking sites in the UK where my story takes place. Of course there is some degree of "creative licence" involved as there really is no Grande Estate near Swindon or Percy Estate along the south coast of the Bristol Channel, Or Net47 Tower in London.

Did happen upon an old abandoned WWII aerodrome south of Swindon which will work nicely in the story as an active private airfield used by the Grande, Kyle, and Trevor estates for their personal aircraft (including Lady Meg's BRG Harrier).

Trying to figure out how my wireless plan is set up. Maybe I can visit the T-mobile kiosk this afternoon. I would have to talk to the guy that set up my account to be the way it is. It has nothing to do with me thinking he is so hot. Of course I cannot say anything other wise that would be a turn off.
