Need a duplicate of this gate ... fast ... {RESOLVED}

I have been trying to build this on my own, but it's stressing me out ...
It doesn't need textured, but mat zones would help so I can use shaders. Just need the gate and supporting posts and crossbar, and of course, the lettered portion. It reads ARBEIT MACHT FREI
It's for a historical fiction novel, so it needs to be recognizable and I suck at modeling. lol
Anyone up for the challenge?
Oh ... And has to be Daz/Poser friendly.

if no one else can get you one I can if you can wait for tomorrow I can throw an OBJ together in Blender.
I don't know what that typeface is either, if you need the quote I will have to model letter by letter and add some density.
Is it supposed to like like it did when it was built or aged?
Tomorrow would be awesome. I do need the letters (that's what make the gate so recognizable). It's the Auschwitz gate from a Nazi death camp. The story takes place during the war, when it was built, so not that aged.

I recognized the quote
"Work will set you free"
Well, on that note I'm off to work on it.
If you can get a clear view of the gate, it's also possible to create an obj via Inkscape. You'd have to fiddle with the picture first though.

still a WIP but as long as you dont get too close you wont see the shortcomings of the chain links, to sub divide them is sending the polly count into outer-space and to make them naturally conform to the shape of the supports is a little awkward right now.
Very cool tutorial. Modeling totally mystifies me, though, so I know it's not as easy as he made it look.
Even if only the major part were there, I have a freebie chainlink fence I can 'attach' to the gate, if it saves time and effort. It's the gate and arch itself that was my real difficulty.
[edit 3rd Image update]
I'm finishing up with the "gate" part the links are done okay, I'm not impressed with them but from far back I can't tell.
Still this is a work In Progress, working on some cleanup and a few more details: Hinges, that drop arm post and whatever else.
II made 5 mat zones in case you need to do anything with unique parts.
Looking awesome :D
I think the fence might be needed, as well as that drop bar that looks like a guard bar at a train crossing. The scene is a Nazi soldier/guard sneaking a Jewish child out of the camp (he plans to raise her as his own). So although all the images I find are from the front looking into the concentration camp, my scene has them looking out. Make sense? The buildings are somewhat generic as is the tree, so those can be easily fudged. The most important part is that gate since that's what tells people where they are (a death camp) and when.
I have not tested in Studio yet but I think I've modeled all I can for now.
It's perfect :D Where can I download it?
Oh, and make it free to anyone you like .... Being a historical landmark, others may find use for it, too.
What do I owe ya?
No worries, it was the first time I modeled something that made me feel that intense.
I'm not going to be able to test unti tomorrow it so give it a try and let me know.
If the edges seem strange in studio change the surfaces to sharp, and I can correct tomorrow.

Mistake 1, move the gates back when you load them, they jumped forward in Blender for some reason.
An intense history behind the real gate it represents ...
Thanks so much :D
Just an update on the project this gate was needed for...
The artist has approved the art and I am working on the design aspect of the book cover.
Dear Moderator ... Can you please merge this thread with my other project request thread? http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/162/P645/
It helps me find them later if they are all together.
Thank you :D
I though those following my old thread might like to see the final cover made from the generously custom-created gate ...
Looks good!
Thanks :D But ya'll do the hard part :D (The modelers)
