Yeah! Another Zev0 product on the way! Can I pay for it now?
Put me down for two!
I'm getting the error "Can't find the required base product: "Genesis 9 to 3 & 8 Pose Converter". Please make sure it is installed before running the script.
It is installed. I also used the "open" method from the launcher so Daz takes me right to it. Why won't it launch?
[Bother], I didn't notice that the base converter was needed, grrrr.
Help Please, I purchased both the Batch Converter & the Pose converter & I'm having these issues. How do I fix it?

So you are using the batch converter? Can you run the single action Pose Converter script on its own?
I tried using both & both refuse to even load or work
What version of studio are you running?
4.16
So what is the minimum version the script is compadible with?
Update: Just tried the script in 4.20 & it failed
4.20.0.17 is required.
Hi.
I'm having a recurrent error. I do G9 poses and convert them to G8 & G3. When I test them, They're fine. But then the tester finds a BUNCH of poking error. Some of them I can see and some of them I don't. Any insights on what could be causing the error and how I could prevent it?
"BUNCH of poking error. "
Have no idea what that is? Screenshots?
Hello Zev0, in my recent install, with new DAZ version, the script does not seem to recognise that I selected a G9 pose. Either nothing happens, or I get a message telling me to select a pose...
Edit : I can get the product to work by NOT using smart content, while before it worked with it. Oh well, at least I can still convert :)
Hi. I haven't installed new version so I don't know it's impact on scripts yet. Send me a log file.
Will do it ASAP.
what base converter did you need? I got both the 3 and 8 to 9 standard and batch but I keep getting the same message but for genesis 3 and 8 to genesis 9 pose converter
Nevermind I got it, got the 3 and 8 to 9 and 9 to 3 and 8 mixed up. Lol
Converter works well but for some poses breasts go massive. Anyone else had this, or know a fix?
Hello. The converter dosn't work with KuJ Spear Poses for Genesis 9.
Not having many Genesis 9 poses, I tested with the poses included directly with Genesis 9. I don't encounter any problem here.
just purchased pose converter with g8 selected keeps giving me no pose present selected select a pose preset and run again.. If I load a g9 in the pose I want in the same scene and selct g8 it says the same thing.. I have latest version of daz .. I enstalled a hot button and go to g9 select my pose I want and make sure g8 is selected in the scene hit hot button and get same message ..not sure what I am doing here..
I recently moved my DAZ content to an external drive to speed up my CPU. Everything except these converters work fine. The scripts no longer react. I don't even get error messages.
I put my content on an external drive using the conventional DAZ path except F: instead of C:. I changed my DAZ IM and DAZ Central defaults to the F: drive. Nothing. But as I said, all the other scripts and content went seamlessly. I didn't drag content to the new drive. I reinstalled to the F: and deleted the C: AFTER seeing F: worked.
Any ideas? And thanks in advance.
When you say no errors, have you checked the log too or is that just no pop-ups? (Help>Troubleshooting>View Log File.)
Well, usually when I make the error I get a dialog, such as "Select a Genesis 9 figure." Now when I try to run a script I get no response. Zip. Nada. And I have no idea how to use the Log based on an individual product. I'll check soon as I can. Thanks, Richard.
I misspoke. Never used View Log before. So, it did baffle me. I found quite a few [WARNING]s.
But I found this one specifically:
2025-03-13 18:02:10.818 [WARNING] :: \src\sdksource\interface\actions\dzaction.cpp(2852): Could not find script file: "C:/Daz 3D/Applications/Data/DAZ 3D/My DAZ 3D Library/scripts/genesis 3 & 8 to 9 batch pose converter/Genesis 3 & 8 To 9 Batch Pose Converter.dse"
I'm guessing this is the problem. And, without looking further, I'm assuming this WARNING applies to all the pose converter files.
But what do I do now?
:)
Okay, I'm jumping the gun here but can I guess?
Change the C:/ in to the new location and save the file?
Am I a genius or what?
Don't answer that unless I'm right!
While I'm here, if that is the answer, do I do that in every instance? Or is there some batch replacement I can perform?
Thanks in advance, Rich.
Are you launching from a custom action, in a menu or toolbar, rather than directly accessing the script? That will store the original path (custom actions are about the only bit of DS that doesn't use relative paths for content). You should be able to update the action by finding it in Window>Workspace>Customise, in the Custom group at the top of the left hand column, right-click on it and select Edit Custom Action....
It works!
sshhh...
Let's keep this on the LD, Rich. I can't afford to hurt my rep...
You understand.
