The 2nd largest search engine = youtube.
One of the most popular sites on internet = youtube
Video is more popular each day with increased bandwidth, computer systems, video cards, and software.
There are issues and discussion ideas for working with Daz3d applications for video production that are not addressed as well as they could be on these forums.
Daz3d is now offering Iclone applications and other software for sale in the shop. There is potential for alot more content sales to be used in video production, just with IClone users alone. I came to Daz3d, because I needed three things...ability to build custom content on limited basis, higher quality content, and easy import capability into Iclone.
If you are interested to participate in such a forums respond to this post. Maybe Daz will think to do this

I have been doing 2d and 3d animated and live model videos for the past 5 years.
There is a lot to learn about video production, which goes far beyond animation. Animation is just one part of it.
A couple simple examples:
Game Production - Usually is a first person actor going through the scenes and the camera is trailing along or from participants view point. Camera and lighting is based on best visuals for the participant.
Video production - Is not first person, and viewpoints are often from many angles, often through walls, with movement associated with the scenes. The viewer of the scenes is unlike a game participant..
Where many people are involved, good experiences can result for everyone. I am only thinking to have more discussion and sharing among users interested to do video production.
If there is not enough interest, then any issues with such a forums will resolve themselves.
The Animation forum is for all aspects of moving renders, so it should be right for any video creation-related discussion.
I can definitely understand your perspective on this, but if your incorporating assets from Daz/Carrara into your video production, as Richatd said it still falls under animation.
I do wish there were more video/filmmaker/animators though, I find I usually read and not post that often.
