I've been a happy longtime user of Daz3D.  I just downloaded Daz to Cinema 4D Bridge and installed it via DC.  But when I open Daz, the SCRIPTS menu option simply doesn't appear.  Thanks for any input on resolving this.

If you just downloaded it, it's not in the Scripts menu any more. Look under File -> Send To.

Hey, Gordig, you're a lifesaver!  I was watching an older video tutorial.  I also found the info on How To Use the Cinema 4D Bridge, and I'll pour over that.  But two questions: (1) Is there a current video tutorial to supplement that article on using the Bridge?   In particular, (2) I was able to easily SEND TO the file...but the most basic question is WHERE did I send it?  I didn't see a destination option.  Thanks for your time.

I don't know if there's a more current video, but most of the steps are the same in more recent versions. As for location, I haven't found a way to change the locations, but I believe it goes to My Documents\DAZ 3D\Bridges\Daz to Cinema 4D\Exports. Generally you won't need to worry about the location, because the bridge knows where to find it, and that's how you'll get your content in.

The Daz to C4D Bridge is pathetic. I have spent 3 days trying to export to C4D R18-R25. I have tried every permutation of FBX, sure I get the models into C4D but with no animations.

Bridge is the same, no sliders and no animations.I have tried all Genesis models with the same results.

However, today I used Bridge to R25 using Genesis 8.1. The model came in amazingly and the eyes were perfect and guess what! The animation was perfect. Brilliant I thought and I even was quite excited. Therefore I repeated the process on Genesis 8.1 again with a different animation and it did not work.

I then went back to the saved Daz model that did work with all the same bridge setting and it did not work.

I can understand the frustration of the Daz Team with all these issues. However, theses problems maybe being addressed but not solved.

Daz has to work more closely with Autodesk and Maxon to design a structure that works. Daz also has to look at 3rd party contend is sells to make sure of compatibility across all platforms to ensure the user of compatability.

I totally sympathise with all you guys at Daz. It is almost an imposable job with other software being updated and constant changes to operating systems. However, Maxon have manages to do it. I can use C4D R26 and bring the file into R18 and vice versa.

Anyway, is the Bridge Plugin going to be updated or a total rebuild soon?

    All the very best

Hello, I am unsure if this is the correct place for this....but when I import from DazToC4D using the "GENESIS CHARACTARS" button it works great.  However the "AUTO-IK" option hangs and says "Please Wait...Importing.."  and then never imports.  Using Daz 4.21 and C4D 2023.2.2, a Genesis 8 model, maybe 3 textures and just underware...nothing complex because I wanted to test this before going ham. Any help would be apperciataed.

    Hi,

I'm having real issues using the daz to cinema 4d bridge. I'm using the latest cinema 4d version and I have an M2 Macbook. I'm currently using the version 1.1 and tried installing the version 1.3 from github. When I use the bridge, the textures are not imported correctly, the skeleton does not control all the surfaces from the FBX. The one from cinema 4d works just fine and seems to be up to date with the 1.3 beta version, but the one from Daz just stays with 1.1. I'm not sure if I'm installing the bridge on the Daz side wrong, or if I have to wait to until the official update for 1.3 is out?
