Upping the Subdivision Levels

I'm experimenting with increasing the Subdivision levels for the Genesis 2 Male. I'm using an HD figure, Boris HD. I know about the quadrupling effect for each level increase. But, now I'm trying to figure out the total number of pixels at each level. So, I need to know what the genesis 2 male starts with. What is the basic number of pixels, before any subdivision? Would this be higher for an HD male before Subdivision?

Pixels have nothing to do with sub-division, they are dependent on your render size.

Perhaps you mean polygons? I don't know how many of them subdivision adds, but I'm sure someone will. :)

G2M has about 19,000 polygons. Each level of SubD multiplies that by 4. However, what application are you using? And what render engine? With 3Delight in DAZ Studio the render pushes the SubD to the limit state anyway, the parameter controls only the viewport.

Pxels have nothing to do with it...

Polygons, on the other hand, do. On Base resolution, no SubD, I'm getting 21,098 for the poly count for G2M.

There is a Scene info tab you can enable. Right click in one of the sidebars, Add pane...Scene Info. Or Window > Panes (Tabs) > Scene Info.
