Problem with Prop Pose in Poser 9

I have a simple positioning pose for a prop. I used DS 4.7 and the Poser Format Exporter to export the pose file to a pz2.
The pose works fine with the poser prop and pz2 pose file in DS.
In Poser 9, however, the pose file has no effect. My question is, why? It seems like a simple thing, but I've been unable to determine why this won't work.
Thanks for any input you can give.

Not sure if it's still a true in P9, but IIRC in some earlier versions of Poser pz2 (at least MAT poses, not sure about regular poses) didn't work for props if there wan't at least one figure loaded in the scene.
That was mainly with smart props.
pz2's won't work in poser unless you have a figure/rigged product in the scene.
Oooookay, seems really weird why that should be the case, but anyway, is there a workaround other than just turning the prop into a figure?

Load a simple figure - it can be any figure, as long as there is one. I think Poser 10/PP2014 have removed this requirement

So are you saying if I put any figure into the scene, then try to apply the pose to the prop it will work? Because I've been trying that and it still doesn't do anything.
Or are you saying if I put a figure into the scene, then I can re-save the prop pose to my library from within poser and simply select the prop as the subset that I want the pose to affect? Because I tried that, too, and all I got in the pz2 file was gibberish. *Sigh*
put the figure in first, then add the prop
No change. :(
Ok, I got this to work. In Poser 9, I basically had to reposition the prop, made sure it was parented to the figure in the scene, then with the prop selected, I hit the "plus" sign to save to the pose library. I hit the button for "Select Subset", selected only the prop, hit "OK" a couple times, then selected an option that came up for saving "Body Transformations". After all that was said and done, it worked as expected.
Just seems like a lot of hoops to jump through for such a simple thing (grumble, grumble...).
It should have worked just by adding the figure in first and then load the prop. I'm sure why in your case it isn't working. I've never ran into that and I have made hundreds of products that are like that. Do you have the latest SR for Poser 9. I'm running 2012. I have 2014 but haven't used it cause according to my wife there are a few issues with it that would effect my development.
Maybe something to do with Daz Studio? I made the prop and poses in DS first, then just tried to convert the poses using Poser Format Exporter script for DS. For some reason those would not work no matter what I did.
I'm not sure I have the latest SR, I'll check into that.
I have Poser 9.03.26132, if that tells you anything.
And I just checked, the prop poses still won't work until I parent the prop to the figure.
