Totally Confused, so you can't even use Daz Characters for Personal non for sale games?

So they tell you you can use Daz to Unity or use Daz characters for gaming and all that but you basically can't even build  a game, that's what i'm hearing.

That if you make games for sale or even for personal use you need to pay all kinds of money for licenses. And that's PER character.

Is that how it goes? And is that not just Daz, does any character you buy from any store like the Unity Store etc, do you have to pay licenses?

If the game is using 3D data (as opposed to pre-rendered 2D art) then you need Interactive Licenses for the content used (you already have a regular license granted when you purchase the content). If you plan ahead there are fairly frequent sales on Interactive Licenses, which are one-time purchases (it isn't fee per unit, or based on units sold). How other stores license their content you would have to check - but you always need a license that allows the use you are making of the content, however it is obtained.

well personal use you could so long as the only thing leaving your computer is 2D renders

I have "cooked" a few games in order to use Ansel to capture HDRi's for example

(Unreal won't enable it unless compiled into a game)

You need an interactive license for all 3D content you used in order to have the right to distribute the game, even if it's a free game.

You can build the game before having all the licenses, as long as you're the only one having access to it during that phase. Once you want to distribute it to anyone else though you need to have the licenses.
