Just a quick render with the Minerva skin on a guy

That looks really good except the eyelashes need to switched out, but definitely seems usable on a guy!

Yeah, it was just a quickie. I forgot that we had a face older morph too, or I would have used that.

Good to see Daz is upping its MILF game!

After Josie and Pixie, there was some concern. Did Pixie even get a thread? There was like no reaction to Pixie at all. I just feel that Pixie wasn't necessary right after Josie.

Also, I don't see anything abnormal about Minerva's body at all. I know people who fit her description well, and I am on the opposite side of the country from California. It is not so rare at all. Some people just take better care of themselves, mentally and physically.

The Minerva bundles are really, really good offers right now I think, and I do like the figure a lot. Finally bought at least the smallest bundle, along with some of its perks. Am hoping for the male counterpart, maybe tomorrow? And hopefully with a sleigh in tow!

I'm super tempted to get the mega bundle for the normal price of just the base figure, but I also have very little money right now.

I hear you so well ... Maybe if you just got one of the smaller bundles? Mine came down to 19,something - 15,00 with an additional still new item ...

Well, I wasn't overly fond of Josie 9 anyway, so I got a refund on her mega bundle and used  that to purchase the Minerva mega bundle and even had some left over.

We've had three Daz core releases inside of three weeks - Josie (mega bundle, two smaller bundles), Pixie (three smaller bundles), Minerva (mega bundle, two smaller bundles). And that's after the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales. I suspect the breakneck pace of releases and people's limited time and budgets (especially during the holiday season) are significant factors.

Minerva definitely does her fair share Pilates and Yoga, hehehe

And the fact that official threads are no longer started by Daz and instead started by users. It basically came down to no one starting a thread.

Ok.... I searched for "Mrs Claus" and Elizabeth Mitchell looks also similarwink

  • Wow, these textures really do make for nice guys. I wouldn't have picked this up if it wasn't for the awesome renders here. You guys really do a better job of selling these products. cheeky

Yeah, this versatility is what I want out of the core characters. (Main reason I skipped on both Josie and Pixie.) But also, I'm still disappointed with Michael and his baked-in facial and chest hair. Unusable for women and children characters.

I have Minerva, just not the time to render her.

She looks like a final boss. I see definitely a Pfeiffer vibe. This is 100% HD morph with default normal maps (Tried the fancy 8K and it scared me)

    Natural eyes G9. Paramount Lights.

Also did a render dialing her 50% with a third party morph also at 50%. HD dials set to Zero, mormal maps default. Same make up. IG Photographers light. Scene Only.

  • Minerva is easily the best character I have bought in a long time and i told myself that I would skip G9.

This one is an exception I guess...

Minerva is my favorite G9 character so far. The mega bundle paired with any Debut or Still New release (Mrs. Klaus Textures or Isabella Crop Top Outfit) plus 4 other Pro bundles for $5 each tipped the balance for me. I agree she looks like Paulina Porizkova. :)

You all convinced me to buy her, someday.

@carlosgimpera those are great renders. Thanks for commenting on your lighting and morph mix, too.

Agreed! If I hadn't purchased her already that first render would have sold me.

I agree this character is great, the skin not so great. Too red for my liking and lacks depth. Maybe I need to re-calibrate my monitor because so many of these models look like they've been out in the sun too long.

@carlosgimpera Fantastic renders! That first one makes me feel like she just left her escort on the way back to the car after her husband's funeral to quietly beg me to find whoever did this to him, and she's still the only one with a motive but if she's putting me on that dame's a hell of an actress.

She looks a realistic amount of red to me, in fact is way less red than me, but I'm a formally very pale white person with lots of sun damage. (The irish weren't built to live in outback Australia :D).

Daz figures have historically tended to go a bit red with the subsurface scattering, but I guess if every character is rendering too red it could be a calibration issue. I'm jumping between a wacom and a Asus Pro-Art, and just checked on my iphone and she seems ok. Reds drive me mad when I'm doing digital painting, so I understand your concern.

    A recent Ms Pfeiffer, for interest. I couldn't find a higher-rez no make-up

I think she's pretty fair. This is a before and after postwork of a render I just finished this evening. At least on my monitors she doesn't look red :)

Search for MelissaGT's post on how she alters the material shaders' colors to remove the excessive red.

MelissaGT's post is in the Michael 9 thread. I made a sceen shot of her settings and have been using it since. Makes a world of difference on the skins. I can's thank her enough for her generosity in sharing her skills.

Lol. That was the Idea! I've planned something like that but I can't do it with G9 bc there are elements I want to include there are not available for G9 yet. Maybe adding a malevolant yet cute half smile to her face helps to tell that story better. Thanks!

Aww thanks guys! I just bought Minerva on her own (didn't really have any interest in anything in the bundles). I'll play around with her settings this weekend to see what I come up with.
