Payment Failure: Error Communicating with the processor, please try again later (AN)
I am using a credit card, and typed everything correctly-- credit card, choose profile, security code, etc. I've tried 5 or 6 times and still get the error. What is going on? This is a different credit card, did I enter something incorrectly? Is the number supposed to be separated by dashes, spaces, or nothing?

Iwant to take advantage of the 8 hour sale, but I get this error message on checkout. Please help ASAP!

Edit: Worked when I used a different card and removed spaces. When I did that with the card used when I made this thread, it said it was declined, even though it worked fine on RDNA.
Edit 2: Turns out this card was skimmed as well, both during the recent Renderosity scandal, most likely. It was only used here, on Amazon, and on Renderosity, so both cards were skimmed at one of those sites. The date of the skimming was on the 23rd, so if you made a Rendo purchase on or before that date with your CC, then you need to call your CC company and make sure there are no fraudulent charges.

Sounds as though it is a PayPal error. Are you trying to use PayPal tp pay?

    I don't use paypal, I use a credit card!
And yes, I know I clicked on the right things. Credit card, choose profile, security code, etc.

This is a forum, not a chat room - it's a good idea to exercise a little patience. It's also a good idea to put the salient information in the body of your post - I've edited to place the actual error where it can be seen. If you are paying with a credit/debit card try using PayPal. If you are using PayPal already, and don't want to enter a credit card, or if switching payment methods doesn't work I can only suggest opening a ticket - with luck Sales may be able to fix the issue, or perhaps to give you the discount even if they can't fix it in time.

There is another thread here http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/28988/ the last post gives another possible solution.

Open a ticket? Those take days! And I am panickjing over this, as I absolutely should be. No, I am not using paypal, and I forgot about any salient information because I am too upset to think straight.
Support tickets take days! Is there any guarantee that I can still take advantage oif the sale days later when the ticket finally goes through?

Nope, no apostrophes anywhere, and yes, this is a different card that I just entered in (old one got skimmed). What about the credit number field? Do I use spaces, dashes, or one continuous chain of numbers? I've tried the first two and get the same error.

No dashes on numbers just put them in no spaces in between. However a communication error is not an info entry error, its a communication /link up. Try using a different web browser to do the purchase.

would be either spaces or a continuous chain, but as I rarely, if ever, use a CC online I can't say for definite.

If it is a new card did you make sure that you entered it as a new payment method and cleared the old one out?

    ^^Yes.
What category of support ticket do I file this under, Tech or Sales? (I still want help on the forums here since that will be quicker and more likely to even get a response, ever)

Same problem occurs in Chrome, so it's not the browser.

Update: For a test, I purchased some stuff on RDNA. Payment went through. So the card is not the problem.
    So now what?

Sales. Stress that you have your cart loaded and want to check-out to take advantage of the offer, I can't guarantee that they will give you the $20 but they might. You could, however, use PayPal -you don't have to create an account, just enter your card details directly (treating it as a payment processor).

Ugh, I despise Paypal with a passion and refuse to use it. Going to try something different here...
Edit: different card didn't work, either.
Edit 2: Different card worked when I removed the spaces. That's weird because I had spaces when I entered the card awhile back that recently got skimmed. You guys need to do what Rendo and RDNA do where there's a greyed-out example of how to enter the numbers that disappears when you type the first letter.
