Hi
A quick question about https://www.daz3d.com/betty-christmas-eve anyone know if the downlighters in the ceiling are their own surface id to make hiding them easy?
And is the room made up of seperate walls etc?
thanks

The room is grouped prop containing the Room, Ceiling and Mirror. I can hide the complete room by clicking on the Eye icon on the scene tab. The three individual props cannot be hidden when grouped for some reason. When the three parts of the room are ungrouped, the Eye icon doesn't work on them either. In order to hide just the ceiling, if you so choose to do so, unparent the Room and Mirror props, then click on the Eye icon on the Grouped room to hide just the ceiling.
The Ceiling prop has a Ceiling, Spot and 5 Emissive surface channels. You can hide the Spot Light ring diffusers with setting it's Cutout Opacity to 0. To turn off the Spot Light lighting, turn each of the 5 Emissive surface channels ON/OFF setting to OFF to completely remove the ceiling lights. Some of the Emissive channels hides "rope lighting" for lack of a better term, which you can selectively turn on. I've turned them all off in this sample pic.
Hope this helps in your decision to purchase. It's a beautiful product!
Thanks Lindsey, I was gonna ask the same thing. Beautiful render, by the way!
Thank you Lindsey!
Wow, that is much better than the promos! Did you use your own lighting or is that out of the box?
Out of the box lighting after the ceiling lights/emissives were turned off.
Only adjustment was tweaking the Render Settings>Tone Mapping a bit.
A finishing touch would be a roaring fire in the fireplace!
Ah, thanks. I think you just helped sell the product
And there's this https://www.daz3d.com/fast-flames-iray-ii
Got it yesterday and its a nice looking product but everything is locked in the parameters pane is there a way to unlock everything in one go asking for a friend?
go below all the controls on the parameters panel where the sliders are into a blank space, then left click and pull up across all the sliders while holding down the left mouse button until all are selected. Then, go the the hamburger menu on that tab (the menu button with the 4 lines and a triangle) and choose the Unlock Selected Node(s) option under "Lock" or highlight all and select Shift+U.
Thank you AllenArt
