G9's lack of hair autofitting.

One thing I've noticed is that out-of-the-box G9 doesn't have the ability to wear hair from other figures. I'm assuming this is an in-the-works thing though.
The question is, will it be a free addition or something we buy seperately, like the body/face morphs, etc?

It autofits well. You just pick none as the template.
Well, how about that? It really does!
There are some types that don't work as well. The dForce strand type, I think, but many work fine.
I tend to avoid dForce hair anyway, as its very uncooperative with NPR shaders and the like.
I noticed with a couple OOT hairs I tried to auto-fit some strands got all wonka-doo.
It really depends on the hair. In my experience so far, hairs that are parented to separate hair caps don't seem to work well. These are traditional or fibermesh, not strand-based. The hair cap itself autofits just fine; the hair winds up with the top over the face. That means that the ones by Redz Studio just don't seem to work well at all. Others seem to be fine.
Any hair that is rigged has issues. The reason is that the autofit removes all bones that are not matched via a template. Sometimes, using the BodySuit: Tight Template works. dForce hair mostly looks totally off. The only work-around I had for that was creating a pain G8 figure, applying an equivalent pose to that, simulate the hair on the G8, then unparent the hair, remove the G8 figure and parent it to G9.
@Toyen has thankfully created a tutorial how to work around some of the issues. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/597396/tutorial-how-to-fit-poseable-hair-to-genesis-9#latest
All of RedzStudio fibremesh hair is broken with Genesis 9.
