i have a popup in DIM stating CMS, DS 4.21 and some other stuff needs to be installed. It does not see anything in my DS installation. DS works fine.
I checked the file and download locations in DIM and all of them point to the correct locations.

Is there a way to get DIM to see my DS install again? I'm a bit worried about letting it install DS and the rest of the stuff, Genesis starter packs, etc...Will I end up wioth a new DS install without any products actually installed? Is the a repair process?

Did you install your current version with DIM?

For the record, the content of that popup is a suggestion of what to install and is mostly aimed at new users. You can totally ignore it and DIM will stilll be able to install content perfectly fine.

yes on DIM..i only use it to install right from the brginning. I'll ignore then. I also noticed DIM does not show my recent purchases. This is npot the 1st time..last I spent hours trying to uninstall DS.DIM, and then start over. Hopefully I do not need to do this again.

If you in DIM go to settings > Advanced > Installation does DIM then point to where DS and CMS is installed?

Your DIM Manifest Files folder (Users>Public>Documents.>Public Documents>DAZ3D>Install Manager>ManifestFiles) may be corrupt. Or maybe the DIM Downloads folder(Users>Public>Documents.>Public Documents>DAZ3D>Install Manager>Downloads) . Do you have a backup of them?

backup? of course not. I've had so much trouble with this system i'm working on it more than i have toime to hook my stuff up to it. constant these sorts of problems. One would surmise a good reason for back-ups ... i have a nice external drive, but thngs going on all the time

  • Is DS not listed in the Installed tab any more, or is this just the pop-up at the beginning which also lists a number of add-ons and may be wanting to install one or more of those? If you uncheck everything in the list to be isntalled, uncheck the option to always run the check, and click the close button do you then get the expected behaviour?
