Error with Fancy Cocktails Wearable Poses for Genesis 8 Female

Please help me with this, I bought this set: https://www.daz3d.com/fancy-cocktails-wearable-poses-for-genesis-8-female yesterday and I just tried to use the one of the full poses, I used the "Wearables Prep pose use first" first and then tried the first pose and the coctail snaps into the hands but my G8 custom character remains unposed, completly unposed, ABSOLUTLY nothing happens other than the cocktail snapping into the hands
. I am not a happy customer right now, I was looking forward so much using the set, I bought the bundle and now the poses doesn't work
. Can't see what I did wrong, I chose the use first thing first, and then the pose.
Edit: the feature of the cocktail snapping into the hands is an irritating feature when the poses itself doesn't work, I'm trying to see if any of the poses works and my Lara character has lots of cocktails in her hands but no pose aplied
.

I don't own it, but i know the PA are active, look here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/411371/released-cocktails-commercial/
Thanks for the reply, I tried writing there also.
I tried in 4.12 to see if the problem is that I use 4.10, but it still doesn't work there either. I tried with a G8 female base with no morphs applied at all in 4.12: STILL doesn't work. Lots of cocktails in their hands, but no pose
.
You need to click on the "Pose" icons, and not the "Prop" icons. The props are only there to place the props in the character's hand when used with other poses. The poses will pose the character and put the cocktail in its hand.
I am in G8 female/Poses/Fancy Cocktails... /Full and there are only pose icons there, no prop icon at all. Icons for pose 1 - 26. And it's those pose icons I am clicking.
This is how it looks on my full folder:
Thanks for trying to help btw!
I am so dissapointed, I have looked forward to use this set, with the vignette, poses and cocktails since it was released, I just waited for a good price on it, and got the bundle for 74 % off yesterday and was so happy. Not any more
.
Silly question, but do you have G8 selected when you apply the pose? Wearable presets usually require the figure to be selected when being applied.
I got it to work on my Lara character by loading G8f base, dialing in my Lara, and then the pose. All todays work for nothing, chosing the outfit, adjusting the outfit that wasn't made to fit together, moving the earings made for g3 in place, adjusting the hair, I worked all day on this, and then I have to start over
. I have to plan ahead if I want to use this pose set, start with a fresh G8f . I tried merging the scen I had made today with my G8f with Lara dialed in that did work, to easier fit the clothes and hair to the figure the poses works on and my G8 Lara from that scene loaded warped, with a different older Lara morph dialed in, not the one I used. This is not a convenient way to work
.
I'm obviously not familiar with your character, but the only time I've had issues like that was when I'd had bones locked from adjusting previous poses. Overall, I've found the cocktails pose one of the best executed hierarchical pose sets I've ever used.
I finally have my Lara with working poses (but she loads in the middle of the table...) but I had to: load a G8f base, dial in my character, merge the scene with the scene with my character that I made today with no working poses: which loads with an older character of mine dialed in instead, zero that character and dial my character again, fit and parent the outfit and hair to the new fresh G8 character. I can't work like that. What was wrong with that same character that I had my scene that I worked all day on ???? I hope I can get answears for what was wrong. I need to be able to load a scene with my character with the morphs dialed in, with the materals, with that hair that I worked hard putting together of several different hairs and use the poses like I would any other poses, I click the preset and they work....
I just tried it. Worked with no problems.
Yes I have seen renders with people using this set so it makes my problem with it harder to understand. It's very simple: use the "Wearables Prep pose use first" first then the pose, I did exactly that with a Lara from a scene I loaded, G8f with my morphs dialed in, and it didn't work. I loaded a fresh G8f base, dialed in my character and now it works. The problem if that is how you must use the poses, load a G8 f base first: I need to be able to use my scenes with my Lara dialed in and with the hair combo I use parented to the head ( I have not been able to find a perfect Lara Croft hair so I make my own of several different hairs). It's tedious to be forced to add and adjust those hairs everytime I need to use this set.
If that isn't the case, that you can use this set on any G8f character then I have no idea what error I could have made, or if my Daz 4.10 is full of errors somehow.
Hello tombraider4ever, I'm so sorry you're having these troubles. I'm unable to replicate them on my end. I've even locked bones on my characters, and the the pose (minus the locked bones) load just fine. I've tried on a number of custom characters, loaded directly into the scene, and haven't had any problems.
Try this, and tell me if it works. Select your character, zero out the pose, and try applying the chose pose again. I have noticed in my time making wearable poses, that sometimes Studio can get testy if you don't zero out between applying wearble poses. If that doesn't work, you may need to submit a support ticket.
Thanks for the reply, I will try that. I managed to get my Lara character in one of the poses, see my post above how much troubble I had to get to that point. I worked on the scene all day yesterday, making some adjustments, and it worked fine when in pre-rendering mode. I decided I want to swap the cocktail for another one, I saw the advice on how to do that in the cocktails thread. It was some work getting the glas in the perfect place, adjust the hand poses to the different glas, move and rotate the decorations, move and rotate the straw, a lot of work actually. And when I try to pre-render Daz crashes
. I hadn't saved the scene with the different glas so I had to do that all over again
. I try to pre-render again and Daz crashes again!
. I restarted my pc, tried again, and it crashes again
. Obviously there something wrong on my end, but as a lot of Daz Studio is still a mystery after 2-3 years, I have no way of knowing what the problem is. Apparently Daz can't handle the changed cocktail!
Do I have to abandon this scene?
I have no idea how to save it
. I know I can get my money back for this set, but I REALLY love it and I want it to work
.
Here is the scene that crashes now after changing the cocktail, it would be very nice to see it rendered after all the troubble I had making it... . I will be afraid to use this again after this
. I will try to update the nvidia graphics card drivers, I have not done that in a long while.
Since you're using 4.10, you might want to also try installing the 4.12 beta and see if that helps. Installing the beta should leave your 4.10 in place.
Note that 4.12 uses a newer version of Iray that demands a very recent NVidia driver; if you haven't updated "in a long while", then Iray might not work at all once you install the 4.12 beta. It will still work with 4.10, though.
Thanks for the reply!
I have 4.10, 4.11 and 4.12 installed so I have tried the poses with 4.12 but it still didn't work. I have updated the nvidia drivers and I just tried the scene again in 4.10 and it crashed again. I'll try another pose with another cocktail and the same scene since it started crashing when I changed the cocktail.
Thanks for the reply!
I just updated my drivers, I'll try in 4.12 and see how it works. If the poses works without fault there now I can make the scene in 4.12 and render in 4.10, I get jagged edges in 4.11 and 4.12.
How did you get this to pose? I have had this a long wile, the poses just do not work
Oh after being super determined I finally figured it out, it only poses in the first frame. So that is a pain in the butt for dforce
Been making myself crazy try to get these product to work. Found this thread and read it all the way through and found the answer from AnitaLee. It is a pain in the tush and I'm surprised this hasn't been corrected for dforce. I did get the pose I wanted. Saved me a support ticket!! Thanks
I just tested this product and it worked without a problem. Are you sure you're are clicking on full body pose? It has both full body and partial body options and the latter only poses the arm and hand.
