Isolde - Character shader or no character shader

I was told at one time that the mat textures for character that have a little scroll in the corner are better calibrated for Daz than mats without the scroll.

But Isolde has no scroll, but two options: mat Isolde and Mat Isolde-NoShaders

Which one is better in Daz?

Usually the No Shader option is better, but sometimes it doesn't make a difference.

The now shader option often (but not always) means that all the available maps will be loaded in the correct slots. You will still want to check settings like bump and specularity for maps and if the settings seem reasonable.

    Thanks :D

I will delete the extra options so I don't mix them up and also save a little space.

On the same line of inquiry, what's best in daz, typically :

    MATs AO
    MATs No AO
    MATs SSS

    None show the scroll

Mats SSS more than likely.. I'm not sure if anyone does per surface AO for studio so those would be poser set up files.

Those are different Poser settings, with and without SSS or AO. It's unlikely more than one will have DS equivalents (I think I'm right in saying that the only DS surface shader to offer AO is pwSurface 1/2).
