Poor girl, time to start a thread for her.

DAZ changed the promo lighting, and the HD details are super subtle. No more orange peel skin! But I am sure some folks may find her 'undersculpted'...

    Her eyes look strange to me. It's not the "glassiness" either. The promos make it seem like there's a gap between the eyelids and the eyeballs. Her face shape seems nice, but I think I might already have something similar.

    She's cute and her bundle is interesting.

    No hair in this bundle. But that western town looks good. Wonder how well it would mix with the buildings from the Stonemason set.

    The female clothing is singularly (and collectively) inauthntic, but the pieces look like they would be great for kitbashing. I do like Mada's new set.

    I liked the western town too, tho I already have Stonemason's. I hope this means we'll get some Native American and old-time Mexican clothing now. We haven't had any since Generation 4 and never any that was particularly authentic. Daz, if you're going to do wild west...do it up right. There weren't just white people out west ;).

    Any skinny, young, white lady is always going to have a hard time getting my attention. So many of those in my library already.

    But Hailey is pretty, I'll give her that. Her face has a little bit of character.

    I particularly like her skin in the promo where she's wearing the hat.

    Why so few promo's, though? And why isn't she shown with different facial expressions?

    Just 7 posts on her debut? Even the guys get more traction than that. Ouch.

    Gotta say she seems rather underwhelming. Daz Originals still have many different character types they can cover, even with whites, but Hailey brings nothing new to the table.

    Is she a core character? She didn't even get her own splash the day of release, poor lady.

    Kinda reminds me of an iSourceTexture character.

  • To be honest I have no idea if she counts as a core character or just one of the random bundles... she doesn't seem to come with make up (none listed) and I THINK that would be a first? I don't have it personally so I can't confirm.

    I would like to see some new Native American and Mexican cothing also. I agree, the town does look really great, I wonder what kind of impact it has on perforemance. Kinda pointless to have a town and not be able to add people, clothing, animals and weapons to the scene also.

    I did get the town. It really is a bundle. There are something like 13 different downloadable components (including what I assume to be the ground plane and complete preset), so it should be really easy to only use the portions you need to have in the camera view. Really easy to mix and match, I would think. 

    Haven't installed yet, or tried opening it in the program, but it looks like it should be eminently kitbashable.

    I think it's the combination of sclera texture and the tear geometry looking grey (I remember a certain 8.1 female character had the same problem) in some renders.

    I find the new g8.1 don't look as good as g8. They looked rather rushed, you can see pinching in some areas of the geo and like others have said the eyes look odd. The out corners of the eyes are pointing downwards in most models and it makes them look they have the fingers on their cheeks pulling the eyes down (if you know what I mean). The new HD displacement models have a murky detail to them too. Im guessing they have new artists working on them. They don't look bad, some look very nice but they definitely look like they dropped in quality IMO anyway.

    I had a chance to try her out and kept it very simple. I messed around with expressions, until I remembered comments about her eyes and reset her face. But, I found her mouth a bit of a challenge to pose without going into something weird. But her default face is strange in the viewport, but looks soft and pretty when rendered. I used Pro-Studio HDR Light 01 R, which is my default normally. This is NOT the HD character.

    I loaded the full set up, and when it did, it was on one item, when I went to select all so I could do 'Scene Info' Daz Studio' crashed.This was on my Win10 laptop, with a 1080, 32Gb Ram. So be very careful. If someone has a more powerful system, maybe they will have more luck?

    I think this is the third or fourth large environment I have bought this year I can't load the full one up without crashing.

    Thanks for the render Ms. Mary! Pro-Studio HDR Light 01 R is my default also, and if it doesn't make her look any better than this, then she'll be the first non-stylistic core figure I don't get. Those eyeholes need some morphing.

    I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong, but I've noticed a number of shoes don't like her feet...

    I've enjoyed the few renders I've gotten out of her so far, though.

    I don't know. The eyes aren't a deal-breaker for me.  Her own makeup does a nice job with 'the weirdness'.

    This girl can't leave the house without doing some smokey eye makeup lol. But she on the other hand doesn't need to apply white eyeliner to her lower waterline when going for a 60's mod look. Jealous.

    They do have vaguely the same head shape. I think their facial features are fairly different, though. Hailey is kinda soft and round, whereas Arcadia has a bit more definition to her face. Here they are in the same pose, with the same lights and same expression for comparison.

    I only see a character preset for Hailey on her product page and Read Me. Does she come with a separate head morph?

    They do have vaguely the same head shape.

    What's with the eyebrows though... especially in the first two promo renders.

    Not that I can find. There's only the full preset in the character folder, and then the material files in her own folder.
