    You could try selecting the lines from the hairs that are shaped the way you want them, copy/paste, using the curves then apply thickness.

     

    Copy Paste the lines.png
    956 x 806 - 122K
    add thickness.png
    1606 x 818 - 290K
    then can weld them back together.png
    1514 x 862 - 330K
