I get noise on one hair model and nothing on the other one

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

hey friends, first time posting here. So as you see I get a lotta noise when I render the model with some hair and then I get way less noise when I change this hair model. I checked and some of the hairs have noises some of them don't. Is this a render issue? please check my paramaters or is this a problem that comes with hair model quality?

    Those are both Iray previews, which only reach a low level of convergence. How do they look when actually rendered?

    There is a render bug for some hair in 4.15 (and maybe 4.16). Select the hair and set opacity in surfaces to 0.99 instead of 1.0 to fix it.

    thank u this somehow fixed the problem.
