Pippy Fae Eyebrow Materials

I think that I am doing somethign wrong with the Pippy Fay Eyebrow materials. It is a heirachical preset so I select Pippy Fae and the eyebrow material but nothing changes. What am I doing wrong?

    It's not clear from your screenshot, but are the fiber mesh eyebrows loaded onto her?
