  The open toed sandles here: https://www.daz3d.com/rare-n-nirv-shoes-collection-2-for-genesis-8-females are very much that style. Until looking closely at the bottom set just now, I thought they were velcro closures. May work well enough for your job, maybe not. Take a look to see if suitable.
