...agh, hate the new version of Google Maps. Big memory hog, and all that popup stuff constantly going on in the upper left corner. Ended up crashing my FF which resulted in ten minutes of having to deal with the "voodoo log in" for the forums again.

On way home now, was ironic applause when we wrapped - personally I didn't really believe we ever would and be condemned like the Ancient Mariner to endless re-takes  Or was it some other cursed ghost ship? Anyhow I might sleep for a week !

Actually most computers still on the shelf in those big box stores are already obsolete before they are even bought. Makes a new car look like a rock solid investment.

Yeah this is what gets me about this work, one moment you think, "finally I have the system that it takes to do this" than a month or two later the next "generation" and/or update is out. It's like one needs a constant pipeline of cash to keep up with the tech curve these days.

I couldn't even consider running 4.7 on the old notebook. One Aiko 3 with Mitsu Hair in a simple dress and a Cyclorma background lit with one ambient and two spotlights would be "crash city".

On the other hand, pencils, brushes, pens ink and paint have a way longer "lifespan".

*hugs*. Did some best work on an Amiga with 1 Mhz CPU  And the Haswell doesn't auto art after all, but it is loud enough to wake the dead running flat out

    adding roasted to the list

thinking of all the ways to prep a veggie or legume

    raw
    boiled
    simmered
    sizzled
    steamed
    baked
    broiled
    nuked
    fried
    deepfried
    stirfried
    drained
    roasted

and haz to take into account if the seasonings are fresh, dried, or powdered

when they say a clove of garlic, they don't mean the whole thing? right? the whole thing is a bulb?

    Happy Thanksgiving all!

among the MANY things I am thankful for (and close to the top of the list) is that my wife has put up with me for another year (and hasn't offed me and buried me in the woods)! ;)

...took some time to get away from the computers this afternoon to clear my head a bit. Went to the German pub for a couple biers and to think though scenes for the story. Was very good.

Sometimes even a temporary change of venue can do wonders.

...I think about all those poor souls dealing with going "over the river and though the woods" for the holiday and feel grateful to be staying in the city. The last three places on earth I want to be this weekend:

    An airport,
    A shopping mall.
    Any "big box" store.

    My last 3 places:
    Anywhere even colder than here.
    Anywhere even wetter than here.
At a birthday party where the theme is "My Little Pony". (Sorry fans)

...those are definitely worthy. If there was anywhere wetter than here, I'd need an inflatable raft.

    yes - all exceedingly cringe-worthy!

though I would add 'on the roads' to the list! I love *being* with my family (Thank God they are coming here this year!), but I really hate the holiday trip!

complaint2 - my fridge is bare achingly empty

    complaint3 - woke up befor 7am on a non-work day

complaint4 - no buppy kisses to start my day. they should let 'em out any minute now

complaint5 - couldn't wish upon a star last night, clouds blocking.

do clouds block wishes or can the stars still hear us?

I have HAM. And by that I mean, eight quart-sized Ziploc freezer bags of ham. And I ended up leaving some on the bone because I was running out of places to store it! :bug: :bug:

About 1/3 of it will go to the potluck. I'd guess it'll give everyone at least one nice, thick slice! :cheese: that and the cheese and pickles and this should be a nice contribution. :cheese:

Caring up a spiral cut ham on the bathroom sink counter was a challenge, the darn thing kept trying to dive into the sink or on to the floor. :blank: But I won n the end.

It's also incredibly tasty - the hickory smoke flavor is all throughout the meat, omg, I' nibbling a few slices now as a reward, alog with a large bottle of Prairie Brewing Prairie Hop Ale! :cheese:

I will complain that trying to fit a V3 outfit on to Vicky6 is a pointless waste of time. :blank: And I can't get DS to recognize the Daz version of Exnems Turkey Dinner, grrr! :shut:

Back to rendering and eating! :cheese:

The thread blew away thataway >>>>>
