Absolutely right. So in a month or two, we'll get a pirate mermaid. Maybe even an anime pirate-mermaid
I can outfit an entire crew of pirates---and their enemies---without doubling up gear. That's my fault, and no one forced me to buy the JJ Mega Bundle, but now it's time for Daz to commission Polish or Stonemason to build the mother of all pirate ships.

I don't work in the genre, so didn't buy anything else even thow some of the clothing was amazing, but I had to have the character.
I usually pick up most pirate togs on offer, since I do use historical, or quasi-historical gear in most of my renders. But looking through this lot, no. Just no.
Now, Mada's new outfit I very happily grabed, as well as its texture set, because that one *is* useful. But the others just aren't even close to being plausible. I did like the pistols with the one that had the pistols, but the chest holster didn't look like it could be readily won over a shirt. And that was just a battle I didn't feel like fighting.
I also picked up AprilYSH's new hair since that also looks useful, even though I suspect it might be very slow to render.
The character herself seems beautifully done. But I don't have a potental cast member gap that she fills. Down the road I may pick her up once she's been out long enough to be offered at a steep discount. But now that DAZ is no longer including 3DL materials with their core figure morphs, being a DAZ core figure morph is no longer that much of a selling point.
I'd settle for a consistent set of ships. Having the same artist model a variety of ships (sloop, schooner, brigantine, galleon...) along with accessories to dress them up for war or for hauling cargo would be amazing.
It would also be nice to get a Caribbean town, port, or fort to go with all these bundles. (Something less cartoony than 3D Universe's Skull Cove.)
If you're willing to put in the grunt work of converting materials, There's an old props set of Tortuga over on Rendo which is on sale until the end of the month.
It's one of Luke A's. Sveva's name is also on it, but she hasn't done Studio materials for it yet.
She's been gradually doing Studio conversions for most of Luke A's old Poser sets. It will be a free upgrade/redownload once she does it, if they handle it the same way as the ones she's already converted, but I've no idea where it is on the to-do list.
It's just architechrual props, so you'll need a terrain to put them on, but there are a lot of those around.

Kitbash3d has Treasure Island, which will also need ground props (see Polish's Summer Island and Faveral's Medieval Docks for candidates). KB3D props UberIray convert very well, but they aren't rigged, and they will need to be loaded through another format or via another platform's fbx (I use Poser 11) to get it into Studio since---last time I checked---DS's fbx import is FUBAR.
Thanks a lot for taking the time and test all that, I agree the set looks very versatile so I probably will buy it and experimant with the frill with other shader presets

I actually really like pirate themes and have promised myself to get Valentino's bundle as then eventually Wolfgang. Jinx has lots of great stuff and the only pirate things this year were Jinx and Wolfgang
Stuff that is surprizingly underrepresented are wedding dresses. There was a recent dress that had a cropped almost mid thigh closeup and thought it would be a long, maybe mermaid style maybe sheath and...it ends mid thigh ugh. Nothing against the length or style of the dress but at least have full context in the promos and the dress in the promo is white too

But we need more anime themes especially shojo. Sakura is a good character but we need a Sakura 8.1 and a male counterpart. Dialing Yuzuru's head to 50% and Briar's head up to 50% is the closest I can get but it still clashes style to Sakura
Skipped Coral, but did pick up Jinx. Like her sculpt. Maybe would have liked some laugh lines on the texture, given she looks older to me than Jada, but a minor quibble.
She comes with two skin tones.
There is not a remove freckle option, but most of the make-ups cover it. You can't have makeup-less and freckle-less.
Good teeth.

Just like with real people, it can be a challenge to light dark skin next to caucasian, I struggled to find a good balance between underlit/overlit for my two models here. (I do really like Agma, fun sculpt).
Now I've procrastinated enough, I should go back to my Marvelous Designer homework! :)
Gotta say every time I load Jinx Jones in Daz, I stop and marvel that her sculpt and textures are top notch. Her realism is on point and the renders posted are lovely. Great work Daz and team!

Jinx looks alright, but the pirate thing is way over done.
A Daz lawyer would actually make sense. There is a ton of content that can be done. We have some items, but we all know that has never stopped Daz before...just like all the pirate stuff.
-Lawyer suits
-Judge robes!
-A courtroom
-The courthouse steps (got to have the pics of press interviewing lawyers!)
-Dramatic courtroom poses, capturing all the high drama. The sobbing witness. The "OBJECTION!" pose. The lawyer making their case in front of the jury. The press poses.
-You could still throw in attractive model clothing, for the star who is on trial. Make the star character an add on!
-Bailiffs!
-Crime scene addons, poses, and environments
-The official Daz Police Car and K9 bundle!
What happened to the mega bundle? It no longer seems to be in store.
It was a "for a limited time only" bundle.

So, does Jinx have an HD add on? I did a search for "jinx jones hd" and all that comes up is Jinx herself. No link to any HD products on her store page either.
Yes, there was an HD addon. It was included in the megabundle; but it disappeared when the megabundle was no longer available.
I can't believe that was intentional.
Limited time for the bundle price I can understand, but delete the contents from the store?!
