Es Pontàs
Es Pontàs is a natural arc by Mallorca in the Mediterranian Sea. September 26th 2007 Chris Sharma deep-water-soloed the rock for the first time. And since then this was only repeated by two other human. It is considered THE most difficult deep water solo climbing line until now. The route is almost entired overhanging. In the middle of the route there is a huge jump where the climber need jump free on the 45° overhanging wall for almost one meter. The jump must be extremely precise and on the one hand hold by the end of the jump the climber need to compensate the impuls by the jump with a total control of his body tension.
This render is inspired by the Chris Sharma's climb and shows the position when he finished the jump.

The gallery image links time out, so your post now just has a placeholder (you may still see a cached copy). The link to the gallery page does still work, but to show the image in the post you need to attach it (or host it on another service, one that allows external linking).
