FBX import into cinema 4d and Redshift textures issue

The materials from fbx import to redshift are all messed up when I import into cinema 4d. So I got to thinking what if I take a static version of the model to the daz to cinema 4d bridge import with redshit materials and swap those materials onto the FBX animated model. This issue is the FBX is mapped differently then the DAZ bridge redshift for instance the FBX model has face, ears, lips, eye socket materials the Daz bridge has just face, lips. So then I tried to just copy and paste the animated FBX keyframes onto the static model and that didn't work.

How do people deal with this issue? just not use redshift with animated models?

Not necessarily a fix to your problem, but it's worth pointing out that some Daz products have native C4D downloads with Redshift materials. In the store, filter by Software - Cinema 4D (NOT Daz to C4D bridge) to see if the product you're using has a native download option.

Also, since you're using a manual FBX export, you might try bridging the item, converting the materials to Redshift, then copying those onto your FBX imported model(s).
