So where’s the Seahorse tail?

I was interested in the new seahorse bundle, but when I clicked on the required Seahorse tail link, there's an OOps broken link message. So I searched the store. There doesn't seem to be a tail. There's no tail in the product either. FYI, Daz.

From what Cris said in the 2021 Sales Thread, the tail will be out tomorrow :)
Yes, we noticed too :D We submitted tickets, but as I read hopefully it will be available tomorrow .... I don't understand :D
I bought the bundle, and realized that broken link, and am not even certain we who bought the bundle will even own the tail. From how it looks, the Tail is a totally separate product and NOT INCLUDED in the BUNDLE. This disturbs me, as I bought this in the understanding that the Merfolk have at least a single tail.
So I guess we shall see tomorrow if it is part of the bundle or not. And what else comes out in the 2nd bundle tomorrow (which as all Daz releases do, there is a 2nd bundle on the day after the first bundle release).

I'm kind of embarrassed for DAZ on this one. Unless I am missing something (besides the seahorse tail) I just don't understand the reasoning for this. And if it was "an accident", well maybe that is even worse.
And how is it "MEGA" if it doesn't even contain the main product? And why should I buy the bundle when it is cheaper to buy the items seperately, even if only slightly cheaper?
Well I actually just want the tails & Topsy @ $5. I'm very happy to see this product, totally unexpected.
Well at least we get a *little preview of the upcoming Tails product tomorrow! I captured it when putting the teaser product in my cart lol.
I will be a little upset if they seperated it just to make another bundle for sale tommorow

The Bundle really includes only the 2 character packs, however also includes many separate hierarchical presets for almost all tail options (which are a LOT) and if you own Genesis 8 UV swaps, there are options for using some female tail textures on male and vice versa. Unfortunately some presets are not working if we use them only on the tail because of the shader settings. The tail only version requires different settings (geoshells) so the shader doesn't work the same way. But most of them are. So the "3rd" product would have been require both character pack and this is why we decided not to make a "3rd" product, but put it only into the Bundle. And this is why we call it MEGAbundle, because you will get 27+29 full character skin presets, characters' partial motphs so you can use as "human" too, 28+24 tail presets to use them with any of your characters and also 8+8 presets to use some male tails on female and vice versa. The reason why these are only 8, because other textures are similar on both side, so don't make sense to convert them.
Sorry if the name is confusing, but we wanted to indicate that it is not just the 2 product , but more inside.
In what possible universe does it make sense not to release the tail AFTER the bundle? Why didn't they flip the order and release that bundle today and the mega bundle tomorrow? I might have bought it had they done that, but I'm kind of pissed about it now.
The seashorse is fantastic. As soon as I can get the guy seahorse and his tail I am buying!
Ummm isn't this kinda putting the cart before the horse? I'm not too stressed cause I already made a vow not to buy stuff for 8.1 ,just catch up with 3 and 8 ,even though they look interesting .
I think it's a bit off that the defining feature of a seahorse isn't included in the first place. What's next? Minotaur 8.1 (hooves and horns sold separately), Angels for 8.1 (wings sold separately), Medusa for 8.1 (tail and sneks sold separately)?
Corynn and Coralia are not seahorses - they are characters designed to be compatible with the seahorse tail. The fact that there are no whole body (sans tail) images in the promos would suggest that they are not usable without the tail.
p.s. yes I know some of the examples are already available under various names - I'm just making a point
I am actually curious about the possibility of using the skins without the tail. The promos don't indicate this is possible, but can someone check just in case?

Shame the delay means it's not part of ‘The Sea Beckons’ release deals - the release screw-up will cost customers the chance for a significant discount. Brings to mind the Kiko 8.1 Rising Star Bundle mess last month. It's pretty crappy that Daz's attitude about such things seems to be "oh well, just push the item out to the next day".
Well, in that case, I can wait a few months till both get's decidedly cheaper.
Can anyone say, specifically, which materials come exclusively with the mega bundle, which you can't get with the tails, alone? And if there's a way to remove the dorsal fin?
It's a really nice option for creatures which would look good with a rougher, course texture for tails on their lower areas.
As far as I know the bundle is an add-on for the tails, just as a character is an add-on for the base figure, so there is no overlap.

Its all my fault. Rawart made a fantastic addon (The tails), and i wanted to exercise my organic material skills, so i asked GHDesign for making character for tail. Long story in short.
When the leg separately avaible (like the shark guy addon), its shows the promo image. This time we did not feel made separate legs (we discussed it), because i didnt intented the character "human", i wanted it seahorse creature, and i think it would look like weird with legs.
However if you buy, i m sure you will enjoy the gazilion option, and if not.. just scroll over and i hope my next creation will win your like :)
This is why the name was ...for Genesis 8.1 Male and for Seahorse Tails So it was hopefully clear, that those are FOR the seahorse tail. And yes, WITH the tail, those are seahorses and I couldn't name as Corynn / Coralia (without the name seahorse), because in this case there should have been a human character. with human legs. And it wasn't the goal. There are plenty of human characters. These characters meant to be as add-on for the Seahorse tail. Those whould have been released together, it was only a glitch thex didn't set up well. Sorry about that, but this was not our fault :(
sorry, no :( There are no leg textures, but you can use with pants and shoes :) This is why it was named a Seahorse Coralia/Corynn to show, there are no human parts. Too hard to texture for both witholut geoshell and the characters didn't use it, because of some unique features as you can see on promo images, som really translucent materials. Those are not possible with geoshells. This is why those are not available as 'Tail Only'
If you see the promo images in the bundle page, you can see the tail materials comes with the bundle only. However not the textures, because the textures are in the separate Corynn or Coralia character pack.
The "Tail Only" options are only material presets, because different presets and shader options needed for the Tail when it is for other characters than Corynn and/or Coralia. These 2 characters didn't use any geoshell as I mentioned above. If you want to use the tail textures for any of your own characters, you need the bundle, becuase those Tail Only options are optimized for using with any characters. Different shaders, different presets. It seams little complicated, but if you chack the promo images, maybe it will be more understandable. Hopefully :)
