I'm definitely getting older. It took me a full minute to figure out what an "ehat" is. :blank:

had another rough day explaining elderly relatives on how to use the new computer. They keep interrupting me and changing the subject. Let me finish my instructions! Then they say "don't talk back to me, I'll do it my way" when I try to correct them. Do they want help using the computer or not? How did they learn in school or college with this attitude??

sorry, had to rant while it is raining outside. Can't go to city to look at the river and take photos for my backgrounds.

haven't figured out how to get a square render on a sphere skydome :coolhmm:

    ...[sports]

Well Week 2 of the NFL is pretty much in the books.

Once again looked like Green Bay was on the way to another embarrassing defeat but somehow they seemed like a totally different team when they came out in the second half. After capitalising on an interception and (finally) scoring a touchdown just before the end of the second quarter it appeared a fire had been lit. Rodgers went ballistic passing for a total of 390 years and three TDs, the go ahead one an 80 yard strike to Nelson to seal the deal. The run game as still sputtering (although admittedly the Jets do have one of the best run defences in the league) with the QB Rodgers having the most total rush yards for for a good part of the game while our run defence looked as porous as a block of well aged Wisconsin Swiss Cheese. Not good seeing your starting quarterback taking chances like that, especially after last season when he went down for 6 weeks.

Still, in the NFL a "W" is a "W" no matter how pretty or ugly it is.

Meanwhile Ravens beat the Steelers 26-6, Seattle lost to San Diego by 9, Green Bay's nemesis the Viqueens were pummeled by the Pats, and speaking of untimely injuries, the 'Skins starting QB, RG III, as carted off the field with an possible season ending ankle dislocation.

Brewers still hanging in there but the next nine games are all away including series against division leading St Louis and 2nd place Pittsburgh, so things don't look very encouraging for the playoff picture.

Wisconsin didn't play so at least no potential embarrassment there. Meanwhile, #2 Oregon manhandled Wyoming 48 - 14.

Only two weeks of football finals to go here, then we get our 'hood back from the sports fans who hijack it every September. Next mob will be the Tennis people, a real noisy bunch *sigh*

Because Ancient British languages didn't have a V in their alphabet, The single F is pronounced as in of and the double F is pronounced as in off. So in olden days a Brit called Fred would have spelled his name Ffred http://www.newsoundwalesarchive.co.uk/artist_ffred.htm
