I was near Marina Del Ray visiting friends back in the 90s and pretty much felt like I was in a television programme with all of the "beautiful people" there driving around in fancy cars. and living in lovely homes.

And then you go up to North Hollywood, Van Nuys, Burbank, etcetera and it's not everywhere you look. I lived in the NoHo/Studio City area for eight years and I think Studio City was the farthest north you go to find the "entertainment type" everywhere you look and even then there's a very happy mix. I miss the Valley. Dang Covid for making me move back home.

Though I didn't like Brooke at all, I do like Beverly a lot.

The Valley gets soooo hot! It was like 116 degrees last summer! Covid has changed LA a lot! Hollywood, which used to be bustling with tourists is now tent city, filthy, drugged out homeless criminals everywhere, and there’s more violent crime than ever. I have the Citizens app & neighbors app and every few minutes there’s a notification of someone with a gun, knife, even sword or machete! Random hold-ups to individuals or in stores. Packages stolen from both homes and apartment buildings caught on Ring cameras, mail being broken into, tons of bicycles stolen, cars broken into... Supposedly billions of dollars are about to be used to fix things. I hope so. I’ve been afraid to leave the house lately and not because of Covid which is pretty much over here. My previous description of my neighborhood was pre-Covid. We are not the same city now and I’m concerned. Oh and please don’t respond to this with anything political. The only thing at fault here is a devasting pandemic which upended many people’s lives.

And back to topic, I like Beverly’s face a lot, I think she’s adorable. Her body doesn’t work for my art, but without Brooke, she’s mostly super muscular and I can just tone that down a bit but not make her super skinny. I like her round face and think she’ll look cute just a little bit chubbier than my usual characters. I will definitely get her on deeper sale eventually. :) I never use characters as is anyway. Every character is just a new tool for my massive toolbox of morphs and textures! That take like an hour to load... angry

"Average" would probably be more correct than "realistic", photo models are also real.

I'm not even sure I'd go average as storing all that weight but still having a nipped in waist isn't exactly "average" either

That out of the way omg look at the flesh bending for the arms and the legs. look at all those hd jcms iin the readme <3

shout out to the creators for a beautiful mix of technical skill and art that a bunch of people won't even notice because it all happens seamlessly behind the scenes.

@Mechasar  Your Beverly is the sole reason that I am now open to D|S 4.15 as I am in a similar situation to @SereneNight.  Beverly is gorgeous heart

    I'm really flattered. Thank you!

    Here's a render I did of Beverly.

On a side note, Livivg at the west tip of texas, right on the Mexico boarder.  Most females here (not counting military transplants) are around the 5ft mark and above what would be considered a "normal" weight.

Great! I also think suits fit well on her

I also appreciate the greater variety - and fine quality - we're getting with Beverly, plus she's just really really cute. I wish we could use her great jcms etc on other figures as well, but the way I read the text, they only come into play on the full Bev character. Maybe there's gonna be an extra morph package some day? Anyways, love the character!

The way you described LA in the last year... I think we're just missing Snake Plissken, and there we go! XD

Going back to the topic... Wow! The simple act of using Beverly before having Brooke in your library proves to me that you really appreciate my character. Thank you very much!

Beverly dials up well from Genesis 8.1 Female, without Brooke. I tried dialing up her head at 100% and her body at 60%. I really like her. She looks a bit different, but still great. She has secured her place in my characters pantheon.smiley

I even spent this whole damn Sunday trying to make a presentable render of the character I created, but I just keep finding mistakes in the middle of rendering the scene. bad lighting, clipping, bad DoF... *facepalm* The last was finding out that the tools from the otherwise awesome Watchmaker set are partially buried in the desk, apparently by default. Oh well, the world doesn't end today, right?blush

My scene successfully rendered overnight. Yay!

Mind you, it is 60% Beverly body and 100% Beverly head on Genesis 8.1 Female.

Oh! Hello, handsome, you startled me.

I love Beverly's look. But as j cade pointed out, that relatively small waist is a bit unusual for someone her size. She could be a plus sized model. But, yes, she is closer to what I usually see in my neighborhood than Victoria. I will definitely be picking her up at some point.

I imagine she's wearing a corset for that look, the waist worked really well in that picture of Mechasar with the suit thingy on I thought. Otherwise, no, not very natural, but she does look rather muscular and firm overall, so a slack belly wouldn't have fitted her well either I guess. Maybe one can achieve a happy middle in combination with some other morphs.

i just wish I didn't need Brooke for her, I really don't like that character's face at all.

I also agree! Brooke and Beverly look great and are a wonderful addition to the Daz universe! Very glad that Daz created the Brooke base model and PA's are wanting and willing to create new characters from her!

    To whom it may concern,

im really enjoying Brooke 8.1, and am thrilled to see Beverly HD for her. I know there's a lot of fantasy art created buy the artists using DAZ, but it's great to see models that are trending to more real-world proportions. Dragging the "Heavy" slider on nearly every model to soften the figure lends itself to a sameness in all of them. It's refreshing to see more thought being put into these stunning characters.

keep up the great work! I'll be buying ALL of it.

WoW, hummina hummina! She's hot, I should have gotten Brooke when it was on sale, wish-listed! I love Brooke's lips/mouth/smile!

Considering Velma was 15 in the cartoon that's kinda disturbing.

    So now I suppose she’s 52, right? ;P

And if we consider Velma (aka Linda Cardellini) in her first appearance in "Scooby-Doo: The Movie – 2002", she was 27 based and the age of the actress. So my artwork is just a version of Velma at the same age of the main character I used for: Beverly is supposed to be 20-something or more. So… do we really want to argue about the age of a cartoon? XD

Anyway, if my artwork will be considered somewhat “disturbing” by the DAZ team, I’ll accept it and I’ll remove my picture from the gallery.

You got the Velma vibe down, well almost. I was expecting her with a magnifying glass sleuthing a stamp collection or something. laugh

I think she is fantastic. But is a shame it requires brooke because that makes this too expensive for me, so will have to wait for it to go in a big sale with staking discounts to get that first.

Here's one of Beverly chilling watching TV and not sucking in her tummy.

I don't like images that sexualize children or teens (I have reported a few images in the gallery), but Beverly looks like an adult to me in that pic. If she actually looked like a teen, then yeah, I'd be upset. Anyway, I think it's a cool render.

I love your render. You are showing the beauty of the character that is in her eyes, smile and confidence in her pose.

    Thank you

I initially felt Beverly was a bit too stylised for my tastes, but after seeing Oso's render with a different skin type (and a bit of nose morphing to match), I was convinced to get her so I could do the same. A quick test to start, it might help convince others that Beverly has a versatile shape:
