9 hours 36 minutes later, it's done. I need to get it up to YouTube somehow, that's tonight's fun. :-S

    I hate insomnia.

Found tail and wing membrane.. they don't conform at all. Will keep searching, the ZIP file has stuff scattered all over...

CONTROL-clicking the pose did indeed keep the X/Y/Z/Scale, great catch! Next animation between poses rendering! :cheese:

    Where is this thing from?

    Dana

RDNA. It stats that it has both dynamic wings (ie, poser dynamic) and confirming wings. Gorgeous model but I will need to find the conforming wings since I use Daz before I buy

OK, from what I can see in the ReadMe file, try looking in the Libraries\Pose\AK OceanQueen\01 - OceanQueen Utils\ folder for loading the wings and tailfin. Then in Libraries\Pose\AK OceanQueen\02 - OceanQueen MATs\ for the materials.

    Dana

ETA: materials are Poser Only according to the ReadMe.

Ooh, there's hope after all. I have pretty shaders I can use if the mats won't work

I got the one material I used to load, reflectivity is astronomical but that's easily fixed.

    Thanks, Dana! :cheese:

Are you secretly working at my building? Someone drew this this morning. Looks pretty close to cylinder fish ;)

Thanks! For my first modeling attempt in over 10 years, it's better than I expected. Still, so much to learn.. le sigh. Likely tutorials all this weekend. :blank:

There's talk of thunderstorms in the gulf and a chance that they may roll over Corpus. I'm tempted to have fiancé take the truck to an car wash to ensure we get rain. Every time my dad took his truck for a wash when we lived in Temple, Tx, it would rain.

...well off to home and dinner. Another interview tomorrow morning so have to turn in early tonight.

Have fun, will be back sometime tomorrow.

    Take care! :cheese:

+2 hope that turns out well for you :)
..thank you all. Looks like it is. Barring anything unusual popping up in the usual background check (unless the occasional office pen or box knife that ended up in a pocket is now a criminal offence) I am scheduled to start in three weeks. Nice bennies and an easy "painless" commute compared to my previous job.

Stopped off at the hotspot for a few minutes to send messages/emails. Have to head home & change out of the interview clothes as it's heading towards the low 90s today and I'm waaaaaaaay overdressed.

Feels good finally being able to pull the plug on the other job search sites and say goodbye to 100+ emails a day clogging up my inbox.

Now I'm waiting for some volumetric fire to render, 104 frames to go I reckon a half hour going by the other hundred odd. The can shape Mac is (appropriately) blowing hot air like a fan forced heater from under the desk can feel it on my face :)
...for that price it isn't liquid nitrogen cooled (makes for one expensive space heater)? ;-)

The round Macs are supposed to be pretty fast.. no surprise on the hot air tornado, though! :blank:

Not the fastest on the block, think that's still a dual 8 core 2012 E5 @ 3.2, still the single 12 core new E5 @ 266 is pretty fast, 216 <> 2K frames in under an hour at moderate quality setting, fluid sim took 5 minutes to write the volumetrics cache, think the new Intel math pipeline makes a difference there

Fire is starting to look like fire and look at that baby reflect wow

..holeee carp that looks good! Love to see the animation when it's finished.

...made that for dinner last night topped with a thick slab of onion, Swiss Cheeze, sweet B&B pickles (not very fond of dill), slathered in a spicy hickory BBQ sauce and served up with my garlic/pepper fries.

    ...now that's good eatin'.

Blackened Cajun fish with garlic tarragon roasted red potatoes, and sweet beets on the menu for tonight. Several bottles of beer in the fridge, I'm good.

Been invited to a Labour Day BBQ this weekend (going to make my signature steakburgers). One of the neighbours will be bringing a shave ice machine and various liquors.

    ...mmmmmmmm.....booze super squishies. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

It a fairly simple position, however it is a steady paycheque again, in a sit down job, in a climate controlled environment, and on my side of town (no more epic length commutes).
