Fog Camera & Hair problem

A picture is worth a thousand words, so I've posted an example.

Let me draw your attention to the eyelashes and hair. Apparently there's something going on between the fog camera and transparency maps. What can I do to prevent the fog from turning the transparencies white?

Specifically, I'm using the product "Atmospheric Effects Cameras"
