Im having a hard time getting my power pose app to recognise the nodes in my model. I'm not sure what im doing wrong.

Something is wrong with your system - it should pick up that you are using the Genesis 8 female and give you the prepared template for that figure, with far more options. Is the Content Management System working in general (Smart Content, categories, content-type tags at top-right of file thumbnails)?
