Eyelashes from DAZ Gen 8 to Maya

monkeybrush2monkeybrush2 Posts: 1
September 2020 in Maya Discussion

Eyelashes when rendered in Arnold in Maya are solid with no transparency. Can't find setting to get the lashes to render properly. Any ideas? Hair doesn't render properly.

Thanks

Brian

It would be more useful if you showed a screenshot of your shader graph.

having same problem here. the eyelashes appear as a solid strip of plane mesh instead of normal furry eyelashes

That sounds as if they have lost their opacity map, or not applied it to the right property. The default lashes are a couple of planes, top and bottom, with a black map having white, tapered streaks aplied to define the lashes.
