    Cryptomining isn't really a thing on dGPU's any more. People still do it of course but the Chinese "entirely legitimate businessmen" who were filling entire warehouses with cryptomining rigs aren't. The cost, even at the dirt cheap electricty and labor costs they had, are higher than they make running the rigs. These current shortages are not a result of cryptomining. This is simply too much demand and too little supply mixed with really scummy people running bots the etailers cannot be bothered shutting down.

    ...in a way that's good to know.  Back in the Pascal days it got downright ridiculous, you ended up paying almost double for a GPU card then (if youu could even find one).  I was seeing "buy it now" prices for 1070s around 1,000$ on eBay

    I really wanted Dogecoin and Coinye to become mainstream.
