    theres some nifty back detailing 

     

    maaaaan I wish the quilting was just a hair smaller on the orange one though 

     

    I will say I do really like the texturing overall. 

     

    edit 2 - I have found an inexplicable error there are heightmaps that straight up arent applied - the maps are there but completely unused? so I added it in and the quilted one looks way better. it actually looks puffy

    I really love him overall but probably can't justify springing for the bundle. I do miss traditional pro bundles a lot, but I've still got a bunch of the older ones to collect.

    Yeah, I've bought nearly every pro bundle that was released but I think I've only picked up two or three of these themed ones. I've gotten most of the base characters though. Niko looks good, I'll probably snag him this week.

    My opinion of Niko:

    1. The mats are really matte. They look somewhat like M4's mats. 

    2. No fibermesh brows

    3. Somewhat toony looking

    4. I do like the sculpt. Although he has a large body, we don't yet have someone like him. I like his shape.

    5. He needs nipples (I gave him Maxx's)

    He looks better with some skin adjustments.  I used altern8. Otherwise, he just has chalky dry skin. 

    The promos make it appear he has different eye colors, cybernetic parts, and implants. He does not.

    He has 1 eye color, and he has optional grooved skin, and scarred skin.

    Thanks SereneNight for the review. I knew you'd be the one to give us a deep rundown on this new male character. The ONE reason I might have bought him was I thought he had cyborg implants. Glad you told me otherwise.

    In general looks, he reminds me of (an older) Lenny Henry at first glance, which reminds me I need to dig out my set of his old TV show, it's quite funny.

    I don’t get this release at all. I just don’t. It’s a single character with no real matching products. It used to be that the main characters were bases that other characters were based offf of, so a new chracter release came with 3 to 8 other related figures. Now, it”s a single character and zero actual content that goes with that base. If anything, I feel that DAZ is weakening the Geneisis 8 brand by doing this. Don’t call him Niko 8. Sure, call him Niko all you want, but this is not a base character at all, and it doesn’t appear to have been DAZ’s intent to make him one from the beginning.

    Yes. "Chef" was hilarious. Caroline Johnson was gorgeous as his wife

    So, this is bsically a much cooler looking figure that was made over 2 years ago by someone at Artstation that someone at Daz stumbled upon earlier this year and it got made into a watered down version of the original figures because G8M doesn't have the same amount of polys as the original standalone sculpt, and then got placed together with a handful of older props in order to turn it into a overpriced bundle?.

    One thing that is interesting. Is the "skin grooves" and bumpy scarification are actually a dial. So I think you may be able to use those on different figures.

    I for one am glad that DAZ seems to be moving away from add-on characters. They are a frequent source of frustration for me. Many times I've seen a really great looking character, only to find out that they require a base I have no interest in.

    The bundle...litle pricey I must say. But Nico's morphs, very very happy to add them.

    EDIT: The problem you see w the hands is all my fault for not resizing correclty. Nothing wrong with the hands of the actual model.

    Did not like the last bundles, did not buy. I see no incentive buying bundles of which I own things already, as is the new custom, and I think the new bundles are not making much sense, besides being to costly.

    I thought this new bundle was another PA bundle that's not a DO. But then, a lot of stuff has been missing credits, so I'm not sure.

    His morph looks a little wonky to me but his skin looks great!

    Not sure why everyone complains about price if you are a PC+ , I put a cheap pose set in there. And with my 6.00 off coupon. 

    I get each item for $5.24  sounds like a decent deal to me. Artist put some work into these products. seems like a steal to me. 

    Also Niko is a full on HD figure. Usually you have to pay another 20.00+

    I think Niko's morph is pretty good. I actually like the arms better than some of the more recent males. If you have Altern8, try some of those presets to really make Niko's skin pop.

    I like Niko. But the current shift to the new bundle style, just means we get more female content when a male bundle is released. so I see less male stuff for me in the future. And cyberpunk is my genre of interest.

    I agree, I don't like this new bundle scheme.  I like the older one better. We were able to get so many past pro bundles as free.  

    CyberPunk is my favorite too. Less then 3 weeks away and 2077 comes out. Very obvious why Daz put out this content now. lol

    Picked up Niko last night with that coupon Daz was running. Didn't get the bundle, just him but he is awesome. I had to do a test render with him and Millawa since I haven't gotten to use her either as I was swamped with my Movember submission the past few weeks. She renders fantastic as well!
