    They look much better here!
Facebook has a very complicated algorithm designed to ruin images ;-)

And the Verdict? is Octane worth it? I know it's Windows Only and Only for nVidia cards so for me it's a double no-way!

I've been looking at this, but I haven't had a chance to play with it yet  --> http://www.mitsuba-renderer.org/download.html

It's for Windows, Mac and Linux, and supposedly pretty quick.

    and finally..

I hope I live to see the day I can light my scenes like that, with or without a special render engine.

Nice shots Jack. I especially like the contrast rich look for the Deco Shot. Brings out the very nice wallpaper details. Thats something that many ppl usually forget to include for their walls :)

Which kernel did you use? Direct light, or one of the pathtracing modes?

Bonnie and Clyde, I presume? I always loved Film Noir, and I think you captured it nicely in this render.

I like the second render too.

Thanks. I think it was Direct Light for the Deco shot, and then Pathtracing for the Bridge.

I don't post too often, but noted this page for JT whilst browsing!

If there's one man (or should I say one man's products - though I still think that sounds wrong O_O) that gets me excited, it's Jack's! I refuse to buy little else when wanting to render sinister backgrounds!

Recently bought Disconsolation, and have also obtained Shelter, Lune Portals and own many many more. Though I am still yet to do any renders with Sacrament, but sure as hell can't wait to try.

These below don't show JT products in their fullest view, but at least three of my Vampire renders from 2013 featured Jack's fantastic gothic products

    http://bit.ly/Hvkjkq (NSFW - Filter on)

So...Thank you JT for being brilliant! It is certainly very appreciated here :)

Oh yeah, then there was this one...some of you have probably seen it elsewhere, but I don't think I ever posted it here.

Marrakesh Seats, Cheirocrates and Jannah (among many non-JT products)

In the game of musical thrones...you win or you die.

I just saw that Kingdom of Marrakech is schizophrenic when it comes to directions.
The side props are named North, South, Left and Right.

Here's some renders I cooked up messing around with Octane.. those that follow me on FB will have already seen them, but for those who don't.. :)

Jack, you're using Octane now? Cool.
    And what hardware?

What lead you to go in that direction? I am fascinated.
    Do you use Lux also?

    These Octane renders look great.

    Thanks.

Love the boat Jack. So cool to see something really new from you not that I was getting bored with Westpark etc. ;)

    I agree!

A perfect boat, usable for pirates and fantasy renders.
