We adopted her about two weeks ago. I figured some folks here might like to see her.

    Greetings,
Wow, that fur is so realistic...and EXCELLENT DoF on that first image! The face looks like you didn't dial in any expressions, though...'resting kitty face'. Are those Stonemason's jeans on the background character? Really nice picture! If it weren't for the 'resting kitty face' I'd think it was a photo, but that's an ADORABLE render!

Her name is Mysty (from the caption) and I'd love to hold her. Lovely little thing. Congratulations on your new little bundle of joy.

She is a really sweet little Kitty. I missed that real baby stage with my latest two, they were 6 months old when we adopted them, 2 sisters.

She's adorable and looks like she's getting properly spoiled already with a scratching post!

So it is! Thanks Spit, I was distracted by all the cuteness and completely missed that.

She is adorable. Making me think (again) of adopting some kitties. ::sigh:: Our last cat came to us as a barely weaned kitten with both eyes suffering from infections. He died quite a few years ago and I have been told that I am allergic to cats. But I still debate about adopting another two. Have to wait until the time is right tho.

but thank you for sharing your new baby with us.

We have a multi colored gray cat just like yours, named Misty :) And I JUST got back from the vet with my rescued feral stray, from her 2 week checkup after having her spayed. So tired of stupid people who shouldn't own animals, letting them outside without fixing them. Absolutely delighted you have offered to share your life with that precious bundle of fur, I'm sure she will be offering up lots of purrfect advice for your 3D work.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I really liked all the kitty pics everyone else posted. It's nice to see we have so many ailurophiles in the forums.

We actually got three kittens; my wife got a little black kitty, and our roommate got a tortoise shell. It's really nice to hear the pitter patter of little feet again on the hardwood floors. I think I need to try some cat-themed renders now.

Well, I'm sad to report that Wednesday night, Mysty passed away from feline leukemia. I thought I'd end the thread with a recent pic of her as an adult; this is how I want to remember her.

I had to edit this as I did not realize this was an old thread or that the kitty passed away...

My condolences to you. I'm sure her short life was filled with love and happiness.

    Be well.

You gave her a loving home and every minute of her life was with people who cherished her. She was with who she needed to be with and as with humans, it's not the beginning and ending dates, it's what was in the dash between the two that defines Life. You were her dash and I'm so glad you two got to share Life together. As long as you remember your sweety, you haven't lost her. Thanks for sharing that picture, you can tell from the sparkle in her eyes that she was pampered.  Long distant hugs from Florida.

I'm sorry for your loss. We have lost our two eldest cats this summer ourselves and I know how tough it can be.

I have to agree with Novica, Rifty. She looks content in that picture and in good condition, so she must have had a good life, even if it was short. She went out from this life knowing she was loved and that's what matters.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  I didn't read down far enough to see the sad news before my previous comment.   HUGS

Thanks, everyone. It's been really hard on my wife this last year. I almost died last fall, and her cat passed away last January. Our roommate's cat is doing fine, however. I can tell she's looking for her sisters, though. It's hard on me, but I have school and other things to keep my mind occupied most of the time. It was rough driving up to camp tonight to start packing up; Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here came on the radio. I know the song was really written about Sid Barrett while he was still alive, but the title really got to me. I've got to get to bed now, I have to head back to camp early to get the rest of our stuff loaded up; between Mysty's passing and my wife beingt sick, this hasn't been a good Pennsic. But I'm stubborn, I'll get through this. I'm thankful for the time my little minion & I had together.
