Short Beard for Genesis 2?

Is there a short beard for Genesis 2 (like there was for Genesis)? I searched the store for "Genesis 2 beard" but did not see anything like the Genesis short beard for Genesis 2.

Just spent a couple of hours trying out Genesis 2 (male) and finding how how incompatible it is with just about everything I have (including a fair amount of Genesis stuff--which I thought it would fit). The short beard was one of my favorite products (and that along with many others appears to be useless with Genesis 2).

I too am looking for beards for Genesis 2 or Michael 6.. Real beards with morphs, like Beard for Michael 4 by WillDupre. I see there aren't any. Anything on the way? I can't really go far with Genesis until there are beards.

    Thanks.

Unshaven for Genesis works just as well on the G2M as it does for Genesis 1.
Auto fit as Genesis and then as Full body. I use it very often.

This is what I want to do. Unshaven looks like it can come close. I may try it. Thanks.

It fits easily and well on Michael 6. It's a bit straggly compared to the WillDupre beard, but it's the best I've seen for this figure. Interestingly, I can combine two styles by using two parameter sliders, to create a fuller, bushier beard.

How do you make it conform to face morphs? When I load it on my G2 figure, if the figure has face morphs, the beard gets buried under the skin or hovers above it.

You should buy Boris Hair by Smay. As all Smay's haircuts, it is full of morphs and styles. It also includes a beard.

Yes, but... no, but... yes, but... People say that Unshaven works quite well with G2.

I do not know that, but it looks nice.

Unshaven doesn't seem to follow expressions on Genesis 2 so it is a bit limited.

That may be a problem, Boris Hair follows expressions.

Boris Hair does follow expressions, but it doesn't follow rotations. The front segment of the beard (the part named "Boris_Beard 1") shifts around when you rotate the head. when the character looks up, the beard disappears inside his chin; when he looks down, it shifts forward and hovers in the air. That's a deal-breaking bug.
I presume that you're using Boris Hair yourself. How do you cope with that problem? Is there a work-around? I've even tried locking all the parameters, but the beard still won't stay put.

Disregard the above. That shifting happened because of something I did.

I know this is an older thread, but I just wanted to include what I discovered here for anyone finding this thread.

I was disappointed when I discovered the beard didn't conform to the face when I changed the expressions. But I figured out how to work around it using Auto-Fit.

First, right-click on the beard and choose "Auto-Fit." From the options of items to auto-fit to, select "none."

Second, right-click on the beard again, and choose "Auto-Fit" again. This time, select your G2M figure.

The beard should now be conforming to the figure's face and expression.

At least, it worked that way for me.

Edit: While researching this further, I came across some information that may be helpful. It appears the default expression morphs for Genesis 2 figures have autofollow turned off by default. If you go into the parameter settings for the specific expression or expressions that aren't working with Unshaven and turn it back on, the beard should then follow your changes. Apparently, other things will too. So it may cause problems, for example, if your character is wearing glasses.

Although as ACross and others have pointed out, you have to make sure that the expression morphs that the figure is using have parameters set to allow auto-follow. (Going to be testing that soon)

    AH HA!!!!

Note: when auto-fitting, don't tell it it's originally for Genesis. Tell it unsupported/full-body!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Oh thank god.

What's killing me is that I have a figure with countless dials set, and having to go in and set each one auto follow. I'm missing SOMETHING.

Is there any batch 'turn auto follow on on everything'?

That's the way it was, originally...but it was found that it messed up way too many hair/lash/etc and it was decided that for face/head stuff autofollow was best off by default.

Yeah, I give up, sticking with Genesis. The biggest obstacle I've had is missing out on Gen2 clothing, but I guess I'll go nab Sickleyield's converter stuff and be done with it.
