saving filtered animated pose presets for lights

I am playing with animating candle flame lighting in puppeteer

it works in filament too as well as other render engines

I can save an animated pose, hierarchical pose and other options but they either ignore the luminosity and intensity or they save transforms as well and I have found no way to copy the properties from one light to another without the transforms.

I fear editing the duf files in notepad++ or D3D editor will end up being my only solution.

Carrara NLA clips applying such stuff to other objects is very easy, you get every property an item has in the clip to check or uncheck and of course everything is animatable and keyframable in Carrara including textures.

DAZ studio now finally has the timeline with the keyframing available for all of these properties to copy and paste but it seems limited to the object in use.

While it is possible DAZ might one day add more of the animation tools available in other software to D|S in the future I feel there has to be some way to do this already possibly by scripting sadly which is a skill beyond my capabilities. crying

     -this is the bit at the end of the duf I want to be able to apply to other lights

    this and variations of it so each flickers differently

    say have 10 variations

    "animations" : [

    {

    "url" : "PointLight-1:#PointLight?extra/studio_node_channels/channels/Intensity/value",

    "keys" : [ [ 0, 0.8232248, [ "TCB", 0, 0, 1.365722e+24 ] ],

    and so on

    duf
    duf
    Filament flame.duf
    52K

    well it looks like I have to puppeteer the parameters  of every single light induvidually because DAZ studio simply lacks the advanced features of Carrara cheeky

    I do try to use it but it makes me cry with it's limitations

    Animated light that has been keyframed can be tricky. I had a commission for a animated scene back a month or so ago  & had used some 3DL of DT gel lights to animate by hand keyframe light bounce for water reflection on a cave wall and tried to save them as a preset for future use.  but for some reason when i went to reload the preset the animation timeline had been reduced to 2 or 3 keyframes. instead of the looped 30 keyframes that I had saved.. which was rather disappointing because it was a nice effect but i hate the thought of having to keyframes gel lights every time i need a wave light bounce source. it wasn't even in Iray.   So I think it must be a limitation or a bug with the DS timeline.  Though since daz had added the keymate/graphmate tools to the daz timeline I have been having issues with the timeline deleting keyframes when i save a scene and reload it . I hope it maybe the same bug they have been working on, and not something new. i did send in a bug report for it

    it does save the animation now but you need to do it for each light in the scene, you cannot save and load an animated light pose on a light

    Right. when I  use the gel lights I pose in this case the wave effect required 4 lights to be animated up and down to effec the light bounce and i saved each light pose for each keyframe on the timeline it would give effect of water reflecting off the wall . but when i saved it. as a animated preset.   it did not save the pose to pose animation on the timeline for each gel light as a group it reduced the animation loop from 30kfs to 2 or 3  that was the issue i was having

    Also last night I was working with a animated Texture script and saved it before going to bed last night and today when i opened it the scene the animated texture i was working on did not save correctly I am not sure if it was my fault because i was getting tired which is what I believe happen. but I work with animated texture scripts a lot and it never not saved before on the timeline, so I am thinking it must been something i didn't do right before closing daz so I am now redoing the whole thing over .
