Z Cigarette Break Props and Poses - need help

this set of props and poses comes with bonus smoke png files and i know where to find them but i have no idea what to do with them...its says use layer blending for best results.

is this a job for photoshop? 

Do they have any function within Daz?

    Yes, it sounds as if they are intended for use in an image editor (most decent editors support layers and blending modes), but you could probably apply them to a plane primitive and position that in the scene to similar effect.
