So what is a Public Build and how do I use it to start a second instance?
What features would you like to see appear in dazstudio 5?
A stand alone rendering facility allowing work to continue on either the current file or starting a new one.
To which one of the moderators answered: Start a second instance, which you can do with the Public Build.

A Public Build is, generally, a beta build made available to the public for testing.
That post is from March. Hasn't the general release incorporated that yet?
