Like I said..there are no veins across the breasts. The images should show clearly how the product looks.
As for how many separate morphs could be made, we could make every individual vein a separate morph is we wanted to....but we have to consider what is "most practical" for the largest number of customers. So that is how I decided on my choices there.
But now on to some more fun stuff...a render ;)
Wow..very very cool !!!!
I really couldn't make out the female chest part of the morph at all from the store promos - it was the first thing I looked for - hence my posted question. The one you posted last page ... hmmm ...
I would like to get this, but only if I can separate the front chest part of the torso morph from the abdomen-and-rear-torso. I am quite happy to do the work to create the separation. But that needs me to be able to edit the morph and save the result ... of an HD morph.
Editing the morph: I figure I could export the morphed figure to Hexagon and hit the chest with a smooth brush; or possibly export just some of the body parts, reimport, turn into figure and use the transfer utility to transfer the morphs therefore from just those bodyparts back to the main figure (really not sure if that will work); or I could just hand edit the morph deltas in the morph .dsf file ... isolate which are the chest verts and remove/zero those deltas in a text editor, quite easy to do, but the .dhdm file is incomprehensible, so what happens with an edited .dsf but unedited .dhdm?
Anyway, one way or another I can edit the morphs to separate the chest ... but how then would I save the edited HD morph? Anyone? If there's a way and someone can explain it, then I'll get this, as it will be useful to replicate in more detail the real world paradigms for a couple of my characters. But if there isn't, then it's no use.
Thanx...it gave me an excuse to play with Gianni ;)
I had actually started this render before I saw yours, Rawn. :)
"Conan"
Love these morphs, now we can do Frazetta-style fantasy warriors. :)
That was my inspiration for making this set :)
(it is no secret how much I love Frazetta art)
Rawn
Rawn, love your work, all of it! So don;t take this as a gripe, please...
But I got this set and dialed it in and at first I didnt notice anything until I zoomed in and saw it. I have the whole thing set to 200% and there's a hint of the veins. SO I dumped the parameter settings and dialed it up to 1000% and no change...
What's the trick to getting it to work?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, or if I missed some documentation somewhere....
I am using DS4.6 and Boris HD, and M6 HD and so far no luck...
Thanks in advance for forgiving my ignorance.
If you want to see the morphs pre render you have to set the mesh resolution to 3 in the parameters. Otherwise you'll have to wait till you render to see them.
Thank you, yes I was aware of that. I was actually referring to the render. My apologies, I was unclear on that fact.
Steps I took:
Loaded up DS
Loaded (in this example) M6 HD
Under the Shaping tab I searched for veins; this gave me just the Raw Veins morphs
Dialed up the "All" morph to 200%
Hit render
Now in this example I was zoomed in on M6's arm and yes the veins were there, but barely visible
So I dumped the parameter limit setting
Dialed the "All" up to 1000%
Hit render
No change at all in the appearance of the veins.
I closed and reloaded DS a few times too just in case something didn't get loaded right, but I also figured that if it didn't load correctly I wouldn't see any vascularity at all.
This is a render of the vein product on G2M with K4 shape and morphs.
I am really enjoying this...

Did you add any shadow-casting lights to the scene? If not, that might be your problem.
As it was a morph, I didn't realize I would need any shadows to actually see the morph...
However I took your advice and played with the lights and shadows quite a bit... no change.
I'm not saying the product doesn't work, I can see other users using it, I just can't figure out why it doesn't work for me.
There is no real trick to get them to work.
It is a morph like any other, you dial them in and they are there.
They may not be very visible until rendering. As was said, if you want to see them better pre-render you will have to up your subdivision level.
but that is about it.
Can you post a render of what you get when you load a fresh g2m and dial up the vein morphs?
Rawn
Thanks for your reply.
Here's what I'm getting...
This is with the left arm dialed up to 300%

I don't know about a shadow-casting light, but you certainly want a directional light - a general ambient light isn't going to show fine relief like these, or much other surface detail.

Ok..that is very strange.
Can't say the morphs are not installed properly, because something is happening, so they are reading something....it is just not reading properly.
I dont know if there is any update to g2m that might have been missed or something.....it is definitely a brain twister.

Which version of DS are you running? (Help>About DAZ Studio, look at top-left.)
Daz Studio 4.6.0.18 Pro Edition (64 Bit)
Daz Studio 4.6.0.18 Pro Edition (64 Bit)
I'm pretty sure that needs an update to fully support HD morphs, though I can't remember exactly when they were added. We are currently on 4.6.2.120

Awesome. I had no idea it was updated. Cool beans. I'll give it a try.
Thanks
Thanks for all your help!
I upgraded DS, no problem... I'm still not getting the striking veins that Im seeing in the promo images...
This image has the veins set to 300% any higher and it starts getting... well odd looking
EDIT: sorry, the image still had a vascular displacement map on it... I reposted with a gif going from 0 veins to 500% veins...
Fixed it!
Woohoo!
After updating, I cleared the DSON cache and poof!
Awesome! So happy.
Thanks y'all
I am glad you got it sorted out.....not often i run into problems that I cannot figure out.
I had an email off to daz for help in it and was waiting for a response...but I am glad it all works now
btw...that animation is kinda creepy..I like it LOL
Rawn
A quick use of the veins ... (I think I they were at 33%): http://fav.me/d7fexiw
Very nice product really adds that 'something' to characters.
Just awesome!
Just the perfect addition to anyone's runtime...
Thanks!
Yeah, it looks like there's something underneath the poor person's skin, and it's looking for a way out. It seems like something you might see on Monsters Inside Me.
I find I'm getting some good effects with the full body morph dialed up to about 30%. Not bulging, middle-of-a-deadlift definition, but definitely yeah-that-guy-works-out-a-LOT definition.
One interesting note: My 4gig machine can't seem to use this set at all on a progressive render. I've tried just a lone figure loaded with the morph dialed in, and the app repeatedly crashes before it even starts painting the first pass. My 16-gig other machine has no problem with it.
I am working with Maximum Vasculum in Poser 10.
Fit the dial to maximum and the effect is very poor, I can not get it to work so that the veins appear correctly.
Other product for Genesis 2 work perfectly.
I tried the subdivision in Poser,
I deleted the cache,
I have reinstalled and updated applications (4.6 Daz Studio, Poser 10 Genesis 2 and all your items).
I can not make it work.
Can anyone help?
