Transferring objects, but not G3/8 figures

So in a strange turn of events, I discovered that the bridge (for all versions) is working perfectly fine... when it comes to transferring objects.  I can get them in to the respective program, no problem!  It's great.  HOWEVER... while objects are transferring, Genesis 8 and 3 figures are not transferring.  Anyone know why?

    So what have you managed to import?  Older figures or just primatives maybe?

    Actually, I can import pretty much any object, such as trees, props, vehicles, with little to no problem. The textures even convert just fine.  But G3 or G8 figures are a no-go

    The DaztoMaz box flickers and thats it. Same with C4d. However, when its a prop, it pauses all functionality while it imports the object. With a bipedal figure, nothing

    Well, that's obviously not the expected result - unfortunately I don't have either of the applications you are using so I can't offer much concrete advice.

    No, so I don't have access to the internal machines (I did suggest they should buy a set of licenses for the forum team, but the suggestion fell on deaf ears).

    So here's a turn up for the books. If I create a Genesis 8 or Genesis 3 character from the smart content Tab, then the character will not transfer through any of the bridges. If I generate a character from another tabs like the content library tab, then it transfers no problem. I've also noticed that the smart content feature is no longer functional. This is getting more and more unusual

    How is Smart Content non-functional - completely empty or something short of that? How do you install your content?

    It no longer sorts anything.  For example, let's say I create a male G8 character. Normally, if I were to click on the Wardrobe section within the Smart Content tab, only G8 male wardrobe would appear.  It no longer sorts like that.

    Filter By Context, at the bottom-left of the pane, is checked?
