RDNA Hummingbird textures?

Anyone know if Juthith's textures for the RDNA Hummingbirds are still available?  Legally.  I have seen a couple places to download them, and even one place that was selling them, but it didn't look legal to me.  I thought I bought a couple of them, but I can't find them if I did.  It looks like they did not move over to DAZ.

Yeah, I think there where quite a few RDNA items that didn't make the migration. Sadly. :(

And unfortunately Judith's products were some of the ones that did not migrate to DAZ or anywhere else. As far as I know they are not legally available anymore and were just completely lost. sad

I am not familiar with 'Judith' or RDNA, but I bought this in the BOGO sale during this summer's PC+ sale, RDNA Hummingbird. Is that the one you are looking for?

Oh man... It's really sad when that happens. As digital products they should be able to live forever, when they up and disappear and they are nowhere to be found, it's just sad. But I guess that's one of the reasons I find the older content so precious. Not only does it stay viable with a little bit of tweaking and adjustments, but when it's no longer available all that exists is what's already been downloaded. If it can't be shared anymore it's very likely just a matter of time until it completely disappears.

That is the bird; but I think the OP was looking for extra textures for it that were done by Judith. RDNA (Runtime DNA) was a sales site that was bought out by DAZ. At the old RDNA site Judith often collaborated with Traveler on items. Most items that were just Travelers were assimilated into DAZ as part of the buyout; but items that were Judith's didn't come over. I always thought that it probably was because they couldn't obtain her permission

Thank you Chalie Judge. Having come into 3D in 2015/2016, I never saw the RDNA site, just the arrival of their products on the Daz store. Judith isn't at Hivewire by any chance?

It is part of the circle of life... scarcity creates longing... There is a song lyric which asks how can i miss you if you never go away.   I remember a conversation with the architectural critic of the big city newspaper about how cities, for example, have to achieve a balance of new and old buildings.  If you have too much of the new, you lose your history but if you have too much of the old, the place becomes a tomb. I think that Amazon and other stores have created this demand of everything now on demand but it isn't substainable.

    ROFL That's too funny!

And yeah, it's part of the circle of life - or at least it always has been. Maybe it won't always be though, at least not for "digital" content. Crystal data storage is being developed and might be the future - the memory crystals can store up to 360 terabytes of data for billions of years.

I don't think it is a question of storage.  I think it is a question of legacy.  There has been a long tradition of artists painting over  older work as they redefine what they want their work to be.  The creators will continue to sell the things that they create and want to live on.  this isn't to say that one shouldn't ask a creator if they would consider reviving an old work but it isn't a duty.  People are allowed to grow up, reinvent themselves, evolve and move on.  I am very much pro artistic freedom and want them to retain power over their creations.

If I should start making content I'd make it available forever, one way or the other.  If someone finds it useful, let them have it, I don't feel I'm losing anything by that - on the contrary, the more that want my products the more it was worth making them.
