A navel question

Why are there so many morphs for belly buttons? I mean you got an inny or an outy. That's about all there is to the human navel.

very glad it wasn't about ships (sea or space going).
Got my hopes up thinking I was going to learn about oranges. Leaving disappointed.
Did you know there is actually only one such tree? Every single Navel orange tree is a clone of the original.
The original is either a mutation or a chance cross breed and wouldn't breed true and they didn't want to spend decades trying to get the fruit back so they just keep on propogating that one tree from cuttings.
Well, you have only one face too. Nose in the centre, single mouth below, two eyes bracing it at the top and a pair of ears decorating the sides. Yet people insist on making more amd more morphs of them.
There's actually a lot more to it than that. I have watchers over on deviantArt that think it's the most important element of the images that I make, and if it's not morphed properly, it can break what would otherwise be a very realistic render.
That's what I'm talking about, some real orange trivia.
Did you know the 'orange juice is great for breakfast' myth was a marketing campaign started by orange growers in the early 1900s? In reality it's a ridiculous amount of sugar to ingest that early in the day. Plus orange juice doesn't really compliment the taste of any other breakfast foods, IMO. Plus you have to brush your teeth afterwards, fruit juice isn't very nice to your tooth enamel.
Next you're going to tell me that diamonds aren't forever.
I have this thing about big navels. I have a preset to basically make any of my characters have a big navel. It would have been a lot of work to do that if there weren't abundant navel morphs.
Diamonds aren't forever, they can be broken and cut down to different sizes and even made into dust...lol
Under normal conditions graphite is the most stable form of crystaline carbon, it can be converted to diamond by heat and pressure but as diamonds are not as stable and most matter tends to move towards more stable forms when left to it's own devices I would have to point out that no, diamonds aren't forever, but at least in a few million years you'll be able to use granny's diamond engagement ring to write your memoirs.
That's just marketing by the diamond cartel. Since anything I have to say about De Beers will be deleted by the mods as a violation of the TOS I'll just leave that for the curious to investigate.
Touché!
Bellybuttons are like freckles, moles, hair color, etc - can literally define a look. There need to be more belly button moprhs!
Burns too. Or at least is destroyed by heat.
So people can have a belly button fetish? And I thought I was weired!
How long have you been using the Internet?

Were my words read as "Shades of Grey" intensity? LOL. Aren't there are usually several degrees between likes, strong likes and fetishes?
uh, Um well...no
I thought foot fetishes were weird when I was new to the internet. Once you've learned that people also have fetishes for armpit hair, vore, amputee roleplaying, furries, body inflation, My Little Pony, and having sex with machinery, most other things seem pretty ordinary.
Back to the topic though, using navel depth morphs often help make characters look realistic because the self-shading (AO) hides the lower mesh resolution around the navel and gives the body a softer and less plastic look. I do it all the time with my characters and even I'm surprised at how many people point out that they like it. I mean yeah, I retextured the armor by hand in Substance Painter and you guys are all excited about the navel, but as long as they enjoy it. ;)
Like what? The fact that they pretty much have a monopoly on the gemstone industry and are ruthless in their business practices is well documented. Heh, every multi-billion dollar "conglomerate" performs its share of scumbaggery, some moreso than others, to achieve and maintain its own idea/credo of relevancy in its respective industry. I have seen a very similar motto...
Yeah, we need more belly button morphs, but I'm not sure how much more could be done with that region if there isn't enough geometry to support more detail. The next step would be to make a geographed one.
Google "De Beers hobbling"
I like big navels and I cannot lie...
